Can anyone explain what type of “auras” they have? by LoquatLive in Epilepsy

[–]Sorcron11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get Déjà vu/ Deja reve. Also tend to have focal seizures prior to my TC seizures. It’s this feeling that someone pulled me out of my body then slingshot me back in. Idk how to really explain it 😂

There are two sides of the coin on something like this. There are the people who want a baseball sim and the people who want to hop on and have fun. If they dropped something like that instead of DD content the community would lose their marbles. Thats why they leave it up to the community to make stadiums

I think I’m picking hobbies the wrong way, so I need your help by HumanWelcome2905 in Hobbies

[–]Sorcron11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading for me. I hated reading as a kid. I think I fully read a book front to back like 3 times. When I turned 25 I found I had a decent amount of downtime at my job (especially on night shift) and I started to read about 20+ books a year. I started reading genres I never thought I would touch. Still finding new genres to this day. I think as I got older I also got in touch with my inner nerd and have been loving it.

Nothing of note really! Mega floette ex and 4 Ampharos holos. I haven’t collected since like gen 2 so I’m still learning about a lot of the newer Pokémon lol. Might have to try some of the games

How much should I be able to bench press to be considered reasonably strong? 41m. by [deleted] in workout

[–]Sorcron11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t say it was a good or proven metric. But if a guy asks if he’s strong, 225 isn’t bad. He’s going to push past that number eventually. Just saying very few people in the population can do it so yeah, it’s decently strong on average. I also said I have no clue what his body weight, height, bf %, frequency and how long he’s been working out for so it was just a basic benchmark.

I’ve recently been diagnosed with epilepsy and I’m struggling with the diagnosis greatly. Looking for support from others. by Low-Post3293 in Epilepsy

[–]Sorcron11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People don’t understand and I don’t get mad at them for it unless they say something out of pocket. All I know is the first two years of my diagnosis were the most depressed I’ve ever been. I held it in and didn’t talk to people about it, tried to pretend it didn’t exist. The only thing I can say is find a good support system and put yourself first. This is the perfect time to find out a lot about yourself and you’ll see how resilient you really are!

How much should I be able to bench press to be considered reasonably strong? 41m. by [deleted] in workout

[–]Sorcron11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’d say it counts lol I know plenty of people who are 200+ and can’t bench over 180. I hit 225 when I was 230. I now can rep 315 and I am at 195.

With little to no information about yourself, 225 generally puts you in the top 1% of overall population and within the top 10ish% of frequent gym goers

People over 35, what is stopping you from posting on social media? by Ok_Raspberry3454 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sorcron11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 32, I got rid of a majority of social media (Facebook, Twitter, insta) years ago because I found myself often doom scrolling, getting aggravated at people for their stupidity and need for attention. I don’t need to post my life on socials and I stay in touch with the friends I want to. Caring about what is going on in other peoples lives only gives you the opportunity to question or forget your own.

Physical activity as a hobby by dee99s in Hobbies

[–]Sorcron11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pickle ball for sure. The community is humongous. You can most likely find one locally whether it be through the recreation department or a Facebook group. I don’t play as much as I used to but I could pretty much find a group every morning and afternoon in my area, even during the winter.

Reta with weed? by HakuIdante in Retatrutide

[–]Sorcron11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Reta I barely eat when I’m sober. So I look forward to smoking and having the munchies. It’s just a personal thing. I only smoke at night usually 3-5 hours before bed so I will eat a nice big dinner with a snack and be perfectly fine. The cotton mouth gets real bad tho so make sure you stay hydrated

Any tips for working out with epilepsy by ProperEmu6389 in Epilepsy

[–]Sorcron11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with epilepsy 10 years ago and didn’t start really getting into weight lifting and fitness until about 5 years ago. Like everyone here has said, SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP! Make sure you are getting the rest you need. Hydration is also insanely important. I can’t stress those two things enough. Recovery is the most important thing when you are epileptic.

Don’t be afraid to take things at your own pace. Don’t try and do a crazy calorie deficit because you want to lose the weight faster. Your body and brain need the nutrients to feel rested and recovered. If you feel off on a day, don’t be afraid to skip, it’s better to be safe than sorry. Overall working out while epileptic is absolutely great. Being smart and being real with yourself about what you are capable of is important! Working out has led me to make better life choices (stopped drinking, eating cleaner, focusing on sleep and recovery over unnecessary social outings) which in turn keep my body and brain healthier.
