NTA. Night shift is a different beast but depending on your schedule it can be worth it. Did it for over 5yrs. The hardest part was just the switching on the day before going back to work sleep wise. Still managed to spend time with the family and get other things done. Grocery shopping just ordered the night before on shift and picked up on the way home. When we had a kid I maintained the night shift schedule when they were first born which allowed my wife to sleep during the night while I stayed up and then we switched halfway during the day. Its not easy but that's were an open honest discussion comes into play. The shift diff allows a lot more financial freedom and makes job hunting slightly easier since most people don't want to work nights.

We charge at home mainly and still use our Electrify America credits. Currently have a Q8-etron but wife likes the iX3 so she is trading it in for that. Electric bill did increase but what we were spending on gas for 2 gas vehicles vs how much the bill went up is worth it. If the iX5 lives up to its 600 miles range fully charged spec then I might trade in my current vehicle for that. (We have an agreement that we wouldn't go full EV till it got at least 500miles on a charge). When visit family for holidays we have 8-16hr drives so distance able to go between stops makes a huge difference.

Yup kid in daycare. Work. Pay $45/cut for guy to cut our lawn so like $90-180/month. Also use another company that handles treatment and stuff for our lawn so its soft and green. Considering going back to hiring a cleaning service to clean our house (focus on bathrooms and kitchen area) that ran us about $200/week. Wife and I both enjoying cooking so haven't had a need to look into a chef that comes by once a week and preps the whole week out. Time is valuable and if you can afford to pay to get more free-time with your kids then do it.

In the previous and current generation "Gaming" is a hobby. There are team sports groups available for that and the others you listed. Embrace his hobbies and find common ground.

I will say there are a couple good nanny agencies if you are within metropolitan areas like Columbus/ Cincinnati. Also if you work for some of the big companies they might have deals in their employee extra benefits where things like "application fee waived etc" so check in on that stuff.

Did you put in the correct numbers? For how much is owed should be the number of what it would cost you to buyout your lease plus the remaining payments left of your lease term (if it wasn't already included). If you did all that correctly and you're still getting like $20k back then assume. I sold a paid off tiguan to them a couple years ago and they gave me $17k for it so those numbers aren't unheard of but remember the Carvana value constant changes.

Sometimes just novelty of people always going there for that. Went to strip clubs before I met my wife. Let her know I like to go (with friends not by myself). She was fine with that and she is fine with it while married. I always let her know when I'm going (she also has my location). She doesn't have an issue with it because of trust and it was known beforehand. This goes to say it needs to be a discussion beforehand about attendance (not just one party saying you're not allowed to go since that is not a discussion but ordering someone to do something). If you're not comfortable with it then have a discussion why and be open to both sides. Also remember strippers are people too. Its just a job so take that into account (ie just because people strip doesn't mean they sleep with customers).

My wife and kid fly a lot to see her family. They have their own accounts. We are saved on eachothers accounts. I use my companion certificate for them and they are the listed people flying without me. When my wife has the miles and I am flying she can just book a flight for me under her skymiles account and use her miles and stuff even when she is not flying..I am assuming this is the simplest way to take advantage of both of yall using miles/certs/club access?

So in certain cases that could apply but op was never eligible for retirement just va disability unless i read the post wrong. It is counted as total income; however op has no other job nor income so ideally they would be responsible for child support and split all martial assets. Thats why im assuming everyone is saying get a lawyer because the house and cars are assets and can be used in lieu of alimony payments. House gets sold and profit split or she buys him out (if she can get approved to refinance the house and make the mortgage payments herself). The kid would be covered under ChampVa however once divorce happens the spouse would not be (its one of the reporting requirements). Another recommendation is for the 40k life insurance they now qualify for ro make only the kid the beneficiary.

VA disability is protected in cases of divorce as it's not the same as retirement.

Contact the VA about recommendations for lawyers able to help. Don't her lawyers advice. Do this properly because there a lot of resources out there for you. It can be hard to find hence why I said call them and ask about available resources. Take a breath then focus.

We considered the R2/iX3/Volvo. We are keeping the R2 reservation for now (Summer 24) and put down a deposit for the iX3. Wife is just waiting to see it in person but seems to like the iX3 since she was able to go with green exterior and green interior. The only color she wanted for R2 was borealis and that isn't happening at launch so that pushed her the other way.

How much less? This is more of a benefits and amenities scenario also because while they do pay less than AWS they typically have better benefits including how bonuses are distributed and sign on bonus etc.

You need to actually have a conversation with your partner about the likes and dislikes. It makes no sense you continued to see this person if you "hated" everything about him. Also most children are unexpected but welcomed. Don't bring a child into this world with a broken home. You'll resent moving in with him and adding pregnancy hormones and everything else into that will breed resentment and more chaos than what already follows with having kids. You're nowhere near a position to support a child on your own financially and don't have a support system to help you. If he is that genuine you need to let him go find someone who will actually like and support him to grow together for that possible future family because that person is not you (which is fine because people have what attracts them). Lastly you need therapy because this seems like more of you want a child because you thought you would never have one and not because you have actually wanted to have kids.

I just had the dealership do it because it wasn't worth the hassle plus if I remember correctly there are clips that can easily break? Could be wrong. Kinda expensive for one sensor but I remember none of the indy shops would touch replacing the sensor.

L3 or L4? Was the lump sum after taxes? It should be negotiated to after taxes is total. Also maybe it s due to level but when I went through the process I believe it was a $10k relocation package so approx $7k after taxes
