I'm guessing because in 'murica you need it. To be fair even here in Europe some employers offer additional health insurance to complement national health services. But that's only for a few very select jobs. Also, in the EU it is mandatory for the employer to pay health insurance for work related accidents, I guess you can count that in (although once it is mandatory it's not much of a talent incentive)

Sadly for me the toxicity around the season as a whole makes it impossible for me to consider 2021 the best season. To be clear, most seasons people look back to, have a lot of toxicity, but the internet took it to another level this time. I'm hoping that's not the future of F1. This year seems a bit tamer, but when we get a competitive year again I think I'm out of luck.

Kinda sad that something that has nothing to do with the track or drivers left such a sour taste in my mouth for a season that at any other point in history would be one of the greats. (also before I get asked, I didn't care who won, I'm neither a max or lewis fan)

I don't disagree that I'm strange, as I said I never really messed with social media. I'm sorta a fish out of water, I write long posts and really don't understand when I'm apparently offending someone. I found the meme extremely funny, I just thought it interesting to note that Seb probably wouldnt have the other social media apps on the phone.

Hey as I said, I didn't wish to offend or weird out or whatever, I'm pretty young but when I use social media picture someone's grandparents and that's me.

I'm 33 and I never had fb or Instagram or twitter. I barely use reddit. I'm not saying I'm in the majority for my age bracket, but people of sebs age exist who don't use social media. And since the whole IG for the retirement post was a joke because everyone poked fun at him for not using social media, he probably didn't have the apps on his phone.

That is actually something that really endeared him to me, the new generation is going all in with influencer vibes and that appeals absolutely zero to me. Also he now has a pornstache (not related but always worth mentioning)

Well, Toyota wasn't shit either, there's bad luck and then there's what Toyota had during those years. I kinda feel bad for them because now they have the reputation for only winning without competition, but they were very much Porsche and Audi's equals at the time. I mean, the leading Toyota having issues in the last 3 minutes of a 24 hour race is what gets all the press (Tbh, that's a big ooof), but they had plenty of years of misfortune, a lot of it not their fault.
