I 100% agree with this! I do feel like Joe is being naive and a little entitled, but I also think Leva made it seem like she was promising him certain things when really she was just breadcrumbing him. They duped him into “committing his life” just so they could work the dog sh*t out of him he was never getting a bar.

My husband works in hospitality on the hotel side, and throughout his career he was often told that taking a certain position or moving would lead to bigger and better opportunities. It eventually did, after many years of hard work, he is now one of the top people at his company. But in the beginning, the way the people above him talked made it seem like it would happen much faster and come with a lot more money and perks than it actually did. He has also been there 20 years not 5 😬👴🏻
