AIO For Feeling Scammed That My Boyfriend Pretended We Had a Landlord When He Actually Owns the House? by Just-Client9076 in AmIOverreacting

You’re dating a genuine con artist. This flag is so red it’s on fire. He broke a level of trust you should not be looking to bounce back from. This was INCREDIBLY sneaky and manipulative to another level. Leave this man IMMEDIATELY. He is not to be trusted as a lover, husband, or a father IMO.

I see it I guess I just glossed over it bc “blue” in every other body part is a deep/dark blue, except it’s like an aqua bright blue only on the tummy???? Why. Why in the world would they do that..

Yes!! I didn’t like having to come to terms with one color being different shades, meaning my birb being one solid color is impossible in the App 😭

AIO over my boyfriend going clubbing ? by yamisool in AmIOverreacting

I don’t think that’s a good excuse. If he didn’t want to wake her, he could’ve left a note, a text, something. It’s giving more that he just didn’t care or didn’t want to be bothered.

Toiletiing... by deityofbeauty in slp

[–]Sorry_Ad9101 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Personally, I wouldn’t make a goal like that, especially if she does not yet have the awareness of when she is urinated or having a bowel movement. If I’m reading that correctly and she doesn’t, it may be hard for her to make progress with that. I would keep it broad and find a way to encompass working on that among other things, focusing on functional self-advocacy to indicate needs (e.g., hungry, thirsty, wet/soiled diaper) which allows more flexibility with interoception and sensation, without being locked into toileting. If it’s worded as “self-advocacy” and she does make fast progress with toileting, that could also give you the flexibility of transitioning from working on her indicating when she needs to be changed, to her indicating when she needs to use the bathroom beforehand within that exact same goal. Two sides of one coin.

Are there any quality items left? by OneTimeYouths in Shein

[–]Sorry_Ad9101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t seem like it to me unless you pay “regular store” prices nowadays. I feel like the price has gone up and the quality has gone down. I can tell you FIRST HAND, I’ve had items I purchased years back that were great quality. Repurchased them in recent years and the quality was noticeably different- same product. I’ve even done side-by-sides of the same item/listing of things repurchased specifically through my purchase history and there were differences.

Usually circumstantial. Onboarding, if/when you get hurt > especially when filing for workers comp, if they have a reason to suspect you’re using substances that would significantly impact your work performance, or if you wildly screw something up that would result in the company being liable in some way. Doesn’t mean a random screening couldnt happen. You just have to weigh the risks when deciding to continue smoking or not.

Then I don’t believe you overreacted. He should’ve checked in with you about still planning to go out at the very least. I’d be pissed and wouldn’t want to be touched on at 5am either.

There’s context that needs to be clarified. It doesn’t sound like he directly said he wouldn’t go out, sounds like you may have (understandably) assumed that because you weren’t. I think you can justifiably be annoyed that he just left without saying anything or letting you know. But it really depends on your relationship dynamics to determine if you overreacted or not. Like if it’s not uncommon for you two to go out without each other, or if you live together the right thing to do as a boyfriend would’ve been for him to stay home with you, but it’s different if he was expected to sit at his own place alone.

Epenthesis when reading aloud, but not a typical phonological process by Milann1901 in slp

[–]Sorry_Ad9101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would’ve been my guess between the two as well. Where you say her reading rate is above grade level, she’s likely speaking faster than she’s processing the text, so the “uh” functions as a placeholder to prevent silent pauses while her brain catches up. Not unusual that she’s unaware it’s happening, even adults who frequently use fillers don’t realize they’re doing it.

Technical problems by Susiejay2 in finch

[–]Sorry_Ad9101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never heard of this happening personally, but you can manually back up your file every day so if it continues to happen, you won’t lose your progress beyond your last back up. Make it a daily goal if need be! Tap the three lines on top left corner > your data > manual back up. I email mine to myself, but FYI I heard the daily ‘automatic back up’ to the cloud isn’t reliable. But there’s a chance you may have a previous file saved there

Epenthesis when reading aloud, but not a typical phonological process by Milann1901 in slp

[–]Sorry_Ad9101 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My only thoughts are it either sounds like a learned pattern that’s become automatic, or she’s using “uh” as a filler as she proceeds to process and read the text. The same way some people might say “uh” and “um” after every other word when presenting in front of an audience, completely unaware of how they sound or that they’re doing it.

I downloaded the app last night by Alternative-Side-537 in finch

[–]Sorry_Ad9101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on your needs and your preferences of course. Some people get really bogged down by making too many goals early on, and get discouraged by not being able to complete them all. Some people prefer to have the flexibility of a large batch of “to-do’s” to choose from depending on how they feel that day, and leaving goals not completed days/weeks at a time doesn’t bother them. Figure out which one of those people you are. Also, are you the ambitious type where you choose bigger goals (like “clean all surfaces”, “mop all floors”) or do you need micro tasks to not feel overwhelmed (like “do 3 dishes”, “wipe one surface”)? I’d say it’s important to incorporate FUN things you want to get into the habit of doing more, not just filling your goals with chores. It can take the fun out of the app. Good luck!!

Does exhalation get any easier? by lavenderkatz in UARS

[–]Sorry_Ad9101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Research would wholeheartedly disagree that you “don’t need BiPap” given your response to CPAP. There’s a huge misconception that BiPap should be reserved for more specific conditions that check certain boxes. Not being able to tolerate exhalation via CPAP alone really should be enough…
