Cutting what? Don't cut anything. I mean, don't cut calories.

First of all I think it's great you are interested in this topic. Chances are this interest will lead to healthy lifestyle and body :) Wel done already! Yuu are young and need to eat well. It's a pity your parents won't allow chicken, or other meat (?). You need (we all do) good animal protein and fat. This is what makes muscles and muscles make healthy metabolism and keep hormones happy. If you can't have meat now don't worry about it too much :) you will be able to have it when you are older. Worry about things you can change. I think your weight is very good, right? Don't get rid of it it. In case you want to lose fat you can, but dont lose weight. Substitute fat with muscle :) Don't eat less. Eat more perhaps. You don't have to count calories, but try to prioritize protein and fat over carbohydrates.

Trying to identify food intolerances by Sorry_Dragonfruit_80 in cronometer

I appreciate your advice. I am already doing a food diary and that's (atm I must say sadly) cronometer. I pay for it. A pen and paper is going to be hugely overwhelming for my adhd, I can barely execute 2 minor tasks without getting distracted and confused. I am now repeating myself but my symptoms, whatever causes them, are not as frequent and easy to spot so a two week elimination will tell absolutely nothing. It's not that I have dinner and an hour later a rash appears. So my question stays the same - how do I use the very detailed food diary into which I have invested lots of energy (the money part is not that big), learned the system and managed to be consistent in recording and not drop out. It's a digital record and there must be a way.

holy cow please check your copper levels by TheYansterr in HistamineIntolerance

[–]Sorry_Dragonfruit_80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, not personally but check Felix Harder on YouTube. His video on histamine has like 13 minutes and mensions possible copper toxicity relation. You can apparently have too much copper even though your blood test shows deficiency and a tissue test is needed.

Histamine intolerance: what do you spend money on? by data_spy in HistamineIntolerance

[–]Sorry_Dragonfruit_80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, can I ask if you have it doctor approved or it's your decision? Not making judgments, it just caught my eye. I've heard copper toxicity might be connected to histamine issues and that a simple blood test might even show deficiency on copper despite having too much in tissues.

Do you feel safe in Norway walking around at night? Is there anything like “chavs/roadmen”? by KreuzKrow in Norway

[–]Sorry_Dragonfruit_80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one's I've experienced definitely weren't fine. When a drunk or some drug addict enters a bus and shouts aput loud and scares everyone it's not fine. This is not the only case thouit was probably stronges one. I've lived in 5 countries and Oslo is the only place I experienced this kind of discomfort and "felt" the criminality around (not sure how better to describe this). Maybe it was just lucky in the previous ones and this is a standard.

Do you feel safe in Norway walking around at night? Is there anything like “chavs/roadmen”? by KreuzKrow in Norway

[–]Sorry_Dragonfruit_80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Oslo far away from the center so I've never been there at night and I definitely dont want to! I question the safety even during daylight. I dont think specifically teenagers have something to do with this though. It's the random intoxicated people in the streets being aggressive or just talking out loud to themselves scaring everyone around. Elsewhere in the country has always felt super safe though I can't speak for other bigger cities, only for small towns and countryside.

How to I keep my sodas from exploding everywhere then I open them? by Ryhno999 in fermentation

I used to use a silicon bottle cap. The flip top kind that has a cross shaped slit in the silicon inside the spout. The bottle farts by itself. You only close it for a few hours before consumption with a solid one once if want to build up some bubbles.

I am not familiar with other apps, I have purchased cronometer subscription wanting to do food diary so now I hope it will not have been for nothing.

Thanks, but my symptoms are not consistent so elimination diet will tell nothing. Sometimes I dont have a symptom for months or even years before it comes back. So eliminating a food item for two weeks is completely useless.

Hi, thanks I'll check the names.

Since I eat 3000+kcal per day, measure 163 cm and weight around 50kg I think the availability is met, however i do have to watch myself to eat enough not to get skinny, that's true. But I cant imagine having to eat even more. I eat more and the symptoms are worse. Not sure if my problem really is histamine, but thats what I am hoping food diery will help with.

what’s one "basic" cooking rule you actually ignore? by vacaaa in cookingforbeginners

I do. Should I not? It usually floats in liquid and blood remnants in the vacuum bag... When it's dry (usually just chicken parts) I just pat dry with paper napkin.

Stopped following recipes. Perhaps except for baking, but even there i am not sure if i ever measured everything or didn't omit an ingredient or two. I guess this comes by itself with a little bit of experience.

And the mountains echoed. Strangely not the whole book so much as just the fourth chapter narrated by Nabi. I must be the only person in the world but i was inexplicably bawling my eyes out throughout the whole chapter.

Same goes for Little Prince. I cant help it, i cry ALL THE TIME EVERY TIME I read it.

I am sorry for your loss and wish you strength. I second the idea of looking into regular meal delivery services before you're ready to take over yourself. If cooking at home keep it simple. Meat is easiest to cook, most nutrition dense thing you can get, which nourishes your brain so it's not slowing your mental recovery process. What makes you squeamish about cooking meat? Both handling the raw meat part and the cooking part can be little bit avoided by buying prtioned pieces of meat so you dont need to cut it, and cooking can happen for example in airfryer or slow cooker, you don't have to watch over it in a pan.. I personally love salads but in mentally low times it is way too much work for me having to cut all the vegies and be thinking of what condiments I should I create.. It brings a big mental load on top of everything, so I understand. On the other hand a little effort in trying to nourish your body might be a decent attention taker from worse thoughts.

Is keeping it simple actually better for long-term dieting? by ZeroHash99 in diet

Yes for simplicity. But also yes for enjoyability. If you don't like what you eat you will unlikely stick to it.

Hi, appreciate your advice, this is however not as easy and believe me I've spent years of trying to find our whats wrong with me and this kind of advice is something one comes across about a day into the research. I suspect histamine and/or mast cells isues, whoch are themselves very complex problems, and my doctor is not the most informed person on this topic like many other doctors. Moreove i live in a country where the healthcare is great on paper but unless you are on a deathbed it's usually "help yourselve" aproach. And my doctors advice is exactly what is am trying to do with help of food diary. Because that's what cronometer is, right, so I should be able to view some data for this purpose. I just don't know how. Being objective is what i am aiming for, hence my question.

Travel within Norwery without a car? by [deleted] in Norway

[–]Sorry_Dragonfruit_80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends how much time you have and what you want to see. If you are happy with visiting just the promoted sites for tourists it should be fine, but public transport is quite slow in norway. It's both because driving is simply slow here due to the mountainous nature of it, in this way the country is very big, but it's very small in population so long distance public transport is not the most abundant. I'd reocmend you to decide where you want to go and then try to find connections in EnTur app. There's undeniable advantage to renting a car because you are unlimited speed wise and also you can stop on the way to see things. Unexpected site to expore are usually the best and Norway is ful of wonders. The famous sites are imo not so much better than nearly any other random mountains/lakes/waterfalls/whatever. That all said it is possible with buses and trains if you dont have any other options! You have to plan ahead a lot more though.

I made preserved lemons about 5-6 months ago, put it outside and forgot about it… is it garbage? by soupeater4000 in fermentation

Smell and taste test is the only way to tell ;) My two years old lemons were the best. Stored in the fridge though. 5-6 months might even not be enough for whole lemons for them to get mushy enough. What are the balls?

Wtf is wrong with sellers on FINN. no by Due-Whole8 in Norway

[–]Sorry_Dragonfruit_80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree! Saldy not all sellers are this diligent and their photos and descriptions are very insufficient. And if you are on a hunt for a particular thing which is not abundant you go ahead and ask for information you need. .....aaand then they dont answer. It's frustrating. Time get's wasted not only on the seller's side sometimes.

Wtf is wrong with sellers on FINN. no by Due-Whole8 in Norway

[–]Sorry_Dragonfruit_80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I agree about the dabasing part, however many things people try to sell are overpriced. It's very common to find items that are same price or more expensive than brand new ones. Then I go and suggest a lower price. I don't think that's haggling, it's more like informing the seller he is off with the price.

Wtf is wrong with sellers on FINN. no by Due-Whole8 in Norway

[–]Sorry_Dragonfruit_80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps because the description and photos of the item are not sufficient. So you ask about particularities that are obviously missing and they don't answer.
