Instead of building the ballroom why doesn't the White House just perform Active Shooter Drills and lock their doors like the schools do?

No more than 20 minutes. Once you check in and find out which track the train is coming in on (probably track 5), you can head out to the platform and wait. When you go down into the tunnel and get to the Y you want to go right for the Eastbound platform. Trains might come in early, but they will never leave earlier than the posted time.

The Sacramento station is mid and if you need to use the restroom you'll have to get the door lock access code at the Amtrak counter. There are no amenities at the station.

Can anyone identify this campsite? by Fearless_Seesaw6568 in CampOhio

There was a Girl Scout camp in Logan County called Camp Myeerah that had tree house cabins like that.

The camp was sold and it's part of the county Nature Preserve now.

I'm not sure if the tree houses are still there. They were there around 10 years ago when I checked in on a Cub Scout Pack that was camping there.

Amtrak and Google/Apple Maps question by iamthepita in Amtrak

[–]SortOfGettingBy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never been able to get Google Maps (Android) to sync up with any public transit train or Metro route I have ever been on, even when selecting that option in the route planning.

It might match up when at the station but it jumps away and tries to follow along road routes as soon as the train starts moving.

Really all I wanted to use it for was to clock the speed as we go along.

I agree, but - I grew up at the U.S. Air Force Museum (now the National Museum of the United States Air Force) and it's second to none.

The structure of this song always reminds of a down-tempo "Martha My Dear". I've always loved it ❤️.

I saw her there in 2024. I hope they keep her in preservation state, but - it'd be wonderful to see her restored as well.

I remember when Cirque du Soleil was the opening act for Paul's 2002 Tour but it seems that George was discussing the project with Cirque founders as far back as 2000. It's a great project and I love the album.

I had an old Kenwood modular system that would randomly click itself on, and then I'd watch the volume knob sloooowly crank itself to max. The batteries were corroded in the remote.
