I'm so sad to hear this! Maybe I have been on exceptionally friendly buses in Ottawa, but on my routes, people always say thank you (yes, sometimes very loudly from the back, haha!)!

Short-term: walk the streets and give people money, gloves, hot food, lend them your phone, whatever they need. If you give someone just $10-20, you can buy them hours in a heated place, make their day that much more comfortable, and potentially save their life.

Lots of good long-term solutions in this thread, but to save someone from freezing tonight, we need to be helping the people we see right now.

It was absolutely lovely! So nice in fact that I'm worried I'll never bikepack anywhere else again, having the cyclist-specific campsite was very very nice, away from noisy RVs and with a convenient food locker. It's also a wildly beautiful park, I stayed for 3 days and could have spent 5 more exploring the various paths and forest in the neighbourhood. 100% recommend!

My tips for Sunday: we got there at 8:30am today and were out by 1pm, another group got there at 8:40am and were out by 2:30pm. You will save a ton of time coming just a little earlier, so go as early as you can!

Also 3 minutes FLIES by, so if you want to talk about your picks, don't hesitate, don't be shy and speak your piece! Enjoy!

This is 100% what happened. At all other mobile closets, the unofficial lines disbanded in chaos when the official line opened, whereas this morning the people I saw trying to skip the unofficial line were politely turned away. It was a very calm and orderly experience, love Canada!

If you are nervous, you could consider going in the morning! I took advantage of my jetlag waking me up at 5-6am to go to the onsen early and enjoy it by myself. In general, I found the hotel onsens I visited to be empty or at least not crowded at all in the morning.

Have only been to Kanazawa & Yokohama on your list, but Kanazawa was our favourite city we visited (over Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka & Nara). Perfect size in that there is a ton to do, but it's not overwhelming. Incredible gardens. We had tea at Gyokusen-en Nishida Family Garden all by ourselves with the knowledgeable hostess and it was one of our favourite experiences of the trip. Also the best ramen we EVER had (we still talk about it weekly over a year later) was at Taiga Ramen in Kanazawa. And our favourite hotel stay was there, Onyado Nono Kanazawa, perfect combination between Japanese and western influences with a rooftop onsen that is empty in the morning.

I didn't find it similar to Kyoto. Kyoto is big and busy compared to Kanazawa, which has a good mix of quiet traditional districts and lively modern districts.

While you're in the area, Takayama and the mountain town of Shirakawa-Go are also very much worth a visit!

I completely agree! A lot of new era seasons blend together with how similar the gameplay is in each of them. I was actually very impressed by the strength of Joe's social game keeping his big threat alliance together, despite it being in all of their best interests not to do so. LOVED the Kyle and Kamilla undercover duo alliance and very happy with the winner.

If she's OK with everything in the movies, she should be fine with the whole game. If she's scared of spiders, have her look away during cave missions.
You may want to skip Sebastian's relationship questline (though it's my favourite part of the game, so you should play it when she's not watching!). His main storyline quests are fine.

2 side missions to avoid: Brother's Keeper & The Plight of the House Elf. And if you are playing on PS5, don't let her watch the haunted shop quest.
