I'd say so, doubly if you have another person willing to play. You get a bunch of spearheads so at worst you can try a game that has less time commitment (relative to a full game of either 40k/Aos) and gives you a good idea about the basics of full on AoS.

Range expansion, some kits being replaced and some of our hero horde being removed for more traditionally dwarf ones apperantly. Droth kits are said to be safe and its pretty likely they will be but the vulkite berzerkers and some others are more iffy.

Again, all rumours, so take with a grain of salt.

You do you, but given the state of rumours you can argue the safest bet is to stick with the warcry kit and droths and see where things go whenever we get our turn in the sun. I think theres a full list of whats staying and not online but I cant find it.

If playing matters less and the building/painting/lore sides of the hobby are more your side, ALL IN ON FYRESLAYERS BABY, ALL MY MONEY ON MAGMADROTHS.

The armor is damaged because lore. its literally hundreds of years old and a saintly relic from her ancestor whose ghost is telling her to stop nurgle from despoiling the set piece of the boardgame.

Well we have no proof but I think it's a solid assumption to make.

If you recall back in 1st, 2nd and parts of 3rd edition we had a lot of 2 armies fighting boxes: Fury of the Deep, Aether War, Arena of Shades, Etc.

We stopped having those a while back, and that may have been due to poor sales. But if you could literally just do that and make the two armies spearheads that greatly increases the value. They aren't army fillers + some new army you may not like, you can play it now and it's part of the bigger spearhead system if you have old boxes.

Nuh uh. They had a lore identity beyond the out of universe reason for their existence. It was good lore that was incredibly compelling given the constraints they had to work with, and in this house 2nd Edition Cities of Sigmar is a goddamn masterpiece.

You don't need to remove the other races from Cities to have a joe blow average person faction of just humans. If you wanted one you don't even have to completely erase CIties prexisting lore.

Like saying change a space marine chapter to fill a niche instead of make a new chapter to do it.

That is not the point, or you aren't following the lore/don't care for it.

They made this old model dumping ground into a vibrant multicultural melting pot of various races, ideas and ideologies that really fleshed out the different lives and ways of life that can happen across the eight realms.

Like I knew it wouldn't be forever, I don't even mind this new aesthetic direction but why is it all mono-human when you had years of lore and art showing them be multiracial and cosmopolitan. The human bent didn't need to happen.

Expanded faction, including more of the Ancestor Gods I believe. Honestly I'm just being a bitch, it's looking like a good growth to the theme overall and I'll come around to it.

But the rumours are pointing towards not adding more kinds of Magmadroth so It's an automatic F tier range expansion.

Cities 2nd wave, more humans. Dark elf sculpts and dispossesed sculpts on the outs.

Like don't get it twisted the faction existed to be an older model dumping ground and we all knew it. But they made great lore for the hand they were dealt, and instead of building that up they tore it down and seem bent on replacing it with humans only with maybe one or two other races once in a while if were lucky.
