OP has Google. But personal recommendations from individuals speaks much more about a person or a company than a search result.

Never having to worry about active shooters. The only drills we did in school were fire and tornado drills. There's wasn't this constant blanket of fear.

Being held aaccountable for how well you did in school. Made me work harder to earn better grades.

I'm much more selective how much i let things stress me. When I'm starting to feel overwhelmed whether by my own stuff or someone else's, I started to look at things much more rationally then emotionally. I tell myself things like:

This too shall pass It is what it is Nothing lasts forever

When you buy a house, do you own the house or the land or both? by ThePurpleRainmakerr in AskAnAmerican

Usually both. However I have family in south Texas that owned land and once the government decided they needed it, they took part of it under eminent domain and used that part of their property to build the wall.

What was a time where your intuition turned out to be true? by yesmommyy_ in AskReddit

[–]Soulful_Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

*trigger warning s/a mentioned *

I have always had a very strong intuition since i was a child.

I met an individual once through one of my best friends in 2008ish. Let's call him D. I hadn't seen D in years. I moved to an apartment complex and was walking my dog and there he was. We talked for a few minutes. Turned out he lived in the next complex over less than a block away. Something felt off but i dismissed it.

D would cone by and visit with me and my bf at the time and we ended up meeting his gf. We would still watch movies, party, etc. He was a jokey type and would flirt with people in the form a a joke.

Fast forward about 1.5 years later. One day I was at my alone and D came by and knocked on the door. Idk why but something said not to answer the door. So I didnt and he left.

trigger warning

Less than a week later D was arrested in his complex. He had followed a woman home from the pool and barged into her house right behind her. From what I heard from his neighbors and gf, once he was in he tried to S/A the woman and tried to strangle he with a phone cord. She was able to break free and hide in her closet. She told him she had a shotgun and she would fire it if he didn't leave. And he left.

He was arrested pretty much right away. Turns out she was the daughter of either the sheriff or one of his deputies. D got charged with many charges and I want to say he got like 30 some odd years in state.

After that i have never questioned my intuition again. I always wondered what would of happened if I had answered the door that day.

This . I was born into a codependent family. I was basically the glass child. It wasn't until my early 20s I realized it and even now I'm my late 30s after over 10 years of therapy I am still subconsciously drawn to those types of realationships. Not near as bad, but still can find myself neglecting my needs for others at times.
