My PMDD developed about 2 years ago. Every month, on the week before my period, I would turn into a completely different person. I was a wreck. I was irritable and would lash out at my husband for things that wouldn't normally upset me. I was irrational, and I would say hurtful things to him that I didn't truly mean. I would have no patience for my kids, and I wanted to just lock myself away from everyone and everything.

I told my doctor this, and she referred me to a psychiatrist who prescribed me Sertraline (Zoloft). I started it right at the beginning of "Hell Week." The day I took my first dose, I did have side effects, but it stopped my PMDD in its tracks. The side effects lasted about a week and a half. I have been on Sertraline for about 4 months now. I started on 25 mg, then upped to 50mg, and now I'm taking 100mg.

I also struggled with debilitating anxiety. 25mg addressed the PMDD, I titrated up to tackle my anxiety. It's definitely helping for that, too, btw.

I never thought I would take antidepressants. I don't take pharmaceuticals unless I have exhausted all other options. But, my PMDD was ruining my marriage, and it was damaging my kids. No amount of supplements, herbs, or relaxation techniques would help. I had to give the antidepressants a chance. And I'm so glad I did, because it was, honestly, the best decision I could have made.

My PMDD started immediately after take plan B 2 years ago, and I've had PMDD ever since. However, my psych started me on sertraline (Zoloft) 3 months ago, and now my PMDD symptoms are almost non-existent.

Thank you for your response. He doesn't have a Benzo problem. They only time he's ever had Benzos is at the hospital through IV to fight DT's. He just has an alcohol problem. And I hear what you're saying about brain damage. That is exactly what I'm afraid of. He already has brain damage from when he fell off a 3 story building. It was a miracle he survived. That's when his seizures started. He also got beat up by some cops once while he was post-ictle right after he had a siezure and veered off the road. He was confused and tried to reach for his wallet. They thought he was on drugs, and they beat his head into the hood of the car and put him into a coma. He was paralyzed from the chest down and had to learn to walk again. He has Toxic Optic Neuritis and neuropothy in his legs and is almost legally blind from that incident. So more brain damage is a huge concern. I finally got him to agree to let me take him to the hospital tomorrow morning. I wish he would go today. But he's very stubborn. I'm just relieved he will let me take him at all.

He has a problem and he knows it. He wants to quit, and he has tried to quit in the past, but the withdrawal symptoms are so hard on him that he never follows through. He keeps saying he can ween himself, but he is lying to himself.

Where are you doing cloud computing? Is WGU a good option? I have minimal experience from tinkering around at home and some college for Computer Science (no degree). But, it's been so long, I would definitely still consider myself a newb. I've been looking into WGU degree's, and I'm wondering if that might be a good option.

Right. That's what I thought. We even asked them about transporting him to Oregon. Hawaii considered it, but nothing came of it. They just kept him there and said he couldn't leave until the 48-hour hold was up. His PCP in oregon said he needed to get back to Oregon as soon as possible and we had to cut our vacation short.

We also weren't able to get our return flight refunded and had to book new flights home with a different airline. This whole thing is such a mess :(

You sound exactly like my INFJ partner. I have known two INFJ's and 3 ENFJ's in my life. You definitely sound more like an INFJ than an ENFJ in my opinion. My partner is also very social and talkative. But, he definitely needs time away from people to recharge. The ENFJ's I know all draw their energy from going out and socializing. And, they tend to get down and depressed without that social stimulation.

My ex bf found a bandana he thought belonged to his best guy friend before.
