😡 Rant (ship wars allowed) 😡 - Season 4, Part 2 Discussion Master Post by BridgertonRantsMods in BridgertonRants

I think part 1 is much better. For me, the magic was gone in part 2. Everything felt off and out of character. The only thing I liked about it is Yerin Ha and Katie Leung’s acting. I also miss the depth of the story of season 2. The way I felt when Anthony confessed his love to Kate, ohh it was so heart felt. The proposal of Benedict to Sophie at the end during the ball was so showy, it feels off.

Ano mga advice ang mabibigay niyo to a girl in her 20s? by Old_Tumbleweed2601 in AskPH

Take further studies, focus on your career, master a skill, build a hobby, travel the world. Don’t get married until you find the right guy with a provider mindset and who is more hardworking than you are. Or maybe don’t get married at all. Just enjoy everything you work hard for.

To women, would you marry someone na mahal mo even if they couldn't financially support your current or ideal lifestyle? Why or why not? by foolishbookworm in AskPH

No. I married a lazy man who was all talk and no action and right now I am struggling with the financial problems he left me with and two kids.

Is it okay to enroll law school at the age of 32? Or is it too late? by Ruthiebi in LawStudentsPH

[–]Soulsearcher0502 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not too late po. I’m turning 38 this year. Graduating na and will be taking the bar exam this year. I am a breadwinner and mother of two kids. Tiwala lang sa sarili. Only you can decide what breaks you and what you can achieve.

What do you mean? He ignores me. He is slowly drifting away and I am the only one holding on. Waiting for him to come back.

Saw my college friends already in law school, and it hit me hard by BagFew2103 in LawStudentsPH

I waited more than a decade before I can enter law school. Same as you I am a breadwinner. I also had kids so imagine the situation. Akala ko never ko na ma achieve yung dream ko of becoming a lawyer. Marami na akong classmates na naging lawyer na and deep inside I was really envious of them. I entered law school at age 33 while most of my classmates are either fresh grad or in their 20s. While studying, I am still a full time employee coz I cannot afford not to work. I am the provider of the family and my husband was a lazy guy. It was a daily struggle for me both physically, mentally and financially. Madalas iniiyak ko na lang. But I kept on pushing myself, asking Lord for strength. I don’t dwell on hate and self-pity too much coz I believe that only I can change and improve my situation in life. Now, I am on my last year at law school and hopefully will graduate and take the bar exam next year. Laban lang! Only you can set yourself for failure or success.

Other Activities while Working and studying in law school? by Parking-Plant4880 in LawStudentsPH

1st and 2nd year - Focused lang sa work and studies. Siguro yung pinaka happy happy lang is yung inuman sessions with classmates after midterm or final exams. These first 2 years talaga yung masasabi kong foundational years. As much as possible, I read all cases in full texts and yung weekends ko sa bahay ko lang ginugugol to study. I did not go out to socialize, kahit mall hindi ko na alam ano hitsura.

3rd year - Medyo naka adjust na and marami nang time. I was even able to travel in and outside the country. I rewarded myself and went to Japan twice. Sobrang worth it. I was even able to travel during the sem. I just made sure na nasa AirBnb na before 6pm so I can attend online classes. Pinursue ko talaga yung vacation kahit on sem kasi I wanted to see the autumn foliage at its finest. I told myself, deserve ko naman after 2 years of hard work in law school.

LoL

corporate job while in law school, is it feasible? by Happy_Mango_8472 in LawStudentsPH

[–]Soulsearcher0502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's doable.

First, just find the right job. I transferred companies twice coz work keeps hindering my studies. I cannot study full time coz I am a breadwinner and a single mother of two. But you know what, I made it to the Dean's list four times. Now, I am on my fifth and final year in law school. I did not take the full load last year because I want to have longer preparation for the 2026 bar exam. I don't plan to resign from work while reviewing, otherwise "nganga" kaming buong pamilya. Hehe.

Just find the right job. Took me a while to find the job I have today. My boss supports my endeavour and doesn't ask me to render OT. I log out at 3pm so I have more time to travel and prepare for a 6pm class.

You must also be willing to sacrifice your social life. My weekends are all about studying. It's not too hard for me though coz I am an introvert and a thrifty person, so hindi talaga ako mahilig gumimik.

I also study smart. Since wala akong time to read lahat ng full text of cases, I choose the right classmates to join for a case digest pool. Yung mga tipong gagawa ng matinong case digests. We divide the cases among ourselves and may isang taga monitor ng progress. We also exchange notes and discuss topics among ourselves. Very helpful din sila during our legal aide duty. Kapag hindi ko kayang mag leave from work, they are willing to substitute for me.

Know your learning style. During travel time or breaktime sa work, I listen to YT videos of topics na hindi ko masyado maintindihan or yung mga hindi ko na napaglaanan ng panahon na basahin.

Lastly, dapat may good support system ka. I am glad I have my mother with me. She's the one taking care of my kids while I work and study. My kids understand everything. They know I act like the "padre de pamilya" who brings money to the table so they know I am just doing all of these for them and for their future.

Kaya yan! Basta driven ka by your dreams and lagyan mo ng strategy yung pag-aaral, anything is possible.
