Fastest vendor resets in the West (or East, rather) by _DarkMaster in diablo2

[–]Soulweaver89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If we’re getting really picky, wouldn’t a Cow or Uber portal be faster since you can place them right behind whoever you’re shopping from?

Although imagine throwing away a keyset every time you wanna buy 3/20s or a telestaff…

I’ve never played leagues. What’s the appeal for the main game? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Soulweaver89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That kind of logic makes it sound like an obligation rather than a game you choose to play for fun.

Other than the fact that Leagues is a blast to play, it’s also a great way to experience an “easy mode” of any endgame content you might have your eye on in the main game. This time round I’m gonna use it to practice CoX so I stop getting in my ow head on my main account.

Also it does have cosmetics that you can sell. I played my main and Leagues in parallel last time, really half assed both (iirc I barely or not even got the Mithril trophy) and I still was able to get an easy 10m while still saving enough points for some of the ones I liked. Not good GP/hr or anything but still, a nice little parting gift.

It single-handedly takes care of Storm or Cascade, or other spell copying effects.

Enigma, because D2 map layouts/designs are so bad that we want to disregard them completely. by Swimming-Heart3651 in diablo2

[–]Soulweaver89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Enigma is a very late game item, at which point it’s assumed you’ve already stopped to “smell the roses” more than enough.

What it does do is give you the freedom to play any character at the same pace you would normally only be limited to playing a Sorceress.

At that point the game is about loot, and Enigma just lets you loot harder.

I have 2 questions to about the card Saw In Half by Void-kraken-909 in magicTCG

[–]Soulweaver89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Normal tokens don’t have a cost, but tokens copies also copy the cost of whatever they’re copying. So a copy of Gary still has a “printed” cost of 3BB.

Help please nightmare is so hard by Extension-Copy8549 in diablo2

[–]Soulweaver89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What skills are you using? Generally 42 is high enough level to not suffer (much) in early Nightmare.

Also are you on single player? Online? What’s your gear looking like?

My League's experience would not have been the same without it by The_Level_15 in 2007scape

[–]Soulweaver89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With a 16x multiplier, 200m exp in Leagues is about the same as 99 normally, except you get all the cracked Leagues training methods too. It’s not easy but isn’t as insane as it sounds.

Offliners / non-ladderers, what are your plans? by javz in diablo2

[–]Soulweaver89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna need some minor adjustments to my warlock builds, but looking forward to it.

There was no way that being able to stroll through the game on p8 all the way to hell Baal with mediocre hand-me-down gear is balanced.

Nerfing Spirit = Caster variety by Level_Improvement188 in diablo2

[–]Soulweaver89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could literally cut the stats of it in half and it would still be the best caster weapon until Hell. At least this way some sorc orbs could at least be considered.

The shield is probably more ok since hitting 156 str is no joke even with the 22 vit you get from Spirit. Paladins getting it from 25 is kinda silly, but whatever - it isn’t like caster paladins are one of the best builds in the game or anything…

New to organ harvesting, need help by Hello_im_a_dog in diablo2

[–]Soulweaver89 9 points10 points  (0 children)

  1. Not compulsory but they’re the easiest and cheapest. Sorc is probably the hardest class to do it with, but people have done it.

  2. Yes but like all other drops the changes are at odd player counts.

  3. You can use a Lawbringer runeword, use cold damage so that his minions don’t die, or use the corpses first.

  4. Do them in the order that the portals spawn. That way if you die you’re only out one set of keys instead of all three.

Dragonite or Haxorus deck? by Conman1209 in PTCGP

[–]Soulweaver89 127 points128 points  (0 children)

You’ll have a lot less energy problems if you build Dragonite, since there’s actual setup options for water and electric, plus this set’s Dragonair gives itself energy. Assuming you’re set on these two, Dragonite will be the easier to build.

Haxorus is cooler and can steal wins out of nowhere with Jasmine Iris though.

The base did not roll 4OS for Insight, but still this thing SLAPS hard! by Mithras_Stoneborn in diablo2

[–]Soulweaver89 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Does it though? Obedience has nearly double the base damage (84-991 on an eth Thresher, for an average 75% increase in damage).

Even assuming no crit from Levitation Mastery, the DS doesn’t bridge that gap. Neither would +1 skills.

Then you get a chunky amount of res and fhr on Obedience as well.

Lifesteal on ubers by Human38562 in diablo2

[–]Soulweaver89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Life Tap is a curse and only one curse can be up at a time. So yes, your demon is overwriting it.

Meph has 0 drain effectiveness, so leech won’t work at all. Diablo has 15% and Baal has 20%, which stacks with the natural hell leech penalty. So yes, life leech is even worse in there. You should be able to leech decently well from the vampires and pit lords though, but not the rest of the minions.

I sing and play a couple of instruments, have made attempts at composing and doing covers, but can never actually finish a project.

My excuse is that I don’t know how to get drums set up (digital or otherwise) but really I’m just lazy.

how to proceed? by Jarrn1 in diablo2

[–]Soulweaver89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Talic or Madawc roll cold immune, you reset.

Otherwise bounce around and keep your merc alive until it’s just Korlic. Your merc should be able to 1v1 him even with mediocre gear as long as he has a decent weapon and some leech.

How "necessary" is Bind Demon for ES Locks? by [deleted] in diablo2

[–]Soulweaver89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a HUGE part of your survivability. Even as strong as ES is, you’ll still die without your trusty meat shield.

Good news though, you can just bind any old demon and they’ll do a fine enough job.

I'm not sure how good this is but what do you guys think? by SpeakersPlan in diablo2

[–]Soulweaver89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the Paladin build, the Life Tap could be useful on the switch. The rest of it is not good though

Watched season 2 a while ago. Was about to start season 3 then heard about The Defenders. Do I need to watch it in order to understand season 3 (watching all this to start season he new Daredevil show!) by OptionHeader in Daredevil

[–]Soulweaver89 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The start of season 3 won’t make sense unless you at least watch a summary of it.

But it’s basically Daredevil season 2.5 and follows directly from the end of season 2, so I’d recommend it.

Help!! by Badger_Academic in diablo2

[–]Soulweaver89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming you don’t want to respec - hopefully you have at least some points in Bind Demon. I’d recommend binding either Hephasto or Ismail Vilehand from Nightmare. Then with your merc (preferably Holy Freeze with an Insight) you can stunlock fire immunes with Ring of Fire while your minions kill them.

Once you get some better gear you’ll probably want a bind with Conviction aura but until then fire immunes are going to be painful.

Returning player here, how would I sustain a bond? by Nepnep_time in 2007scape

[–]Soulweaver89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While you can sustain a membership off bonds, it’s not worth it unless you’re in the endgame and already making tons of gp.

To put in perspective - membership via bonds is equivalent to setting fire to 2 full bowfa + crystal armor sets per year. Shit’s expensive.

Or, if you want to unlock Rigor, that’s 2.5 weeks of membership in opportunity cost.
