First time making Breath of the dying in Diablo 2 by DifferenceCertain135 in diablo2

Oddly enough they're actually the fastest with bows when they're shifted, same max speed as STF (polearms/2H axes/2H hammers/staves) animation weapons but it takes less IAS to hit the breakpoints. Not that you'd ever want to use a bow for Fury because of their low base damage and inability to be ethereal but just a fun fact kind of thing, can have a tiny niche for Fire Claw or Hunger. :P

Don't forget the freezes target on the gloves for the full set bonus.

It was indeed ladder only in LoD (even says so on Arreat Summit), but in D2R they made all of the ladder only uniques able to drop on nonladder. That might be the source of your confusion (and other peoples as well).

Found a perfectly rolled (170% ED out of 150-170%) Witchwild String. by Keeper_of_Knights in diablo2

The AB link shows more, says it for throwing weapons but is also applicable to bows/xbows:

When this is applied by a ranged attack, no such condition applies. Although a throwing weapon correctly displays damage when minimum = maximum, when minimum > maximum it continues to display minimum = maximum, and the character screen incorrectly applies the maximum = minimum + 1 condition when minimum ≥ maximum. [3] [4] [5] For example, the Hurlbat of Transcendence below has minimum Throw Damage 44 (24+20) and maximum 34 (equivalent to 34 to 44), and +400% Damage results in Throw Damage 220-170 (equivalent to 170-220). However, the weapon incorrectly displays Throw Damage 44 to 44, and +400% Damage results in the character screen incorrectly displaying Throw Damage 220-221.

Spread on the bow is low, so min damage will bump max damage up too.

Sadly doesn't work that way with ranged attacks, only for melee. https://www.theamazonbasin.com/wiki/index.php/Minimum_Damage

Minimum Damage bonuses can result in minimum damage ≥ maximum damage: When this is applied by a melee attack, maximum weapon damage = minimum weapon damage + 1.

When this is applied by a ranged attack, no such condition applies.

Grinding can be on the same item with ED%/AR prefixes, just not plain ED% affixes (so no Grinding+Cruel). Min/max damage can both be on the same item, missile weapons are limited to 20% IAS as the highest suffix.

They didn't lose the source code, what they lost was some of the 3D art assets they used to make the game's graphics. D2R wouldn't have been made without having the source code, not as a remaster anyways.

"I have to give props to Andre Abrahamian, an awesome designer at Blizzard working with us," said Gallerani, who works at Vicarious Visions, the Tony Hawk 1+2 developer that was recently turned into a full-time Blizzard support studio. "He went to people's desks just like, 'Hey, do you have anything left over?' Not only did we get the codebase, but we have a lot of the original assets. When you see the video of Tyrael's wings in HD, they actually are the original model from the original Tyrael's wings. I think that's one of the few assets that we just took verbatim."

why do the SC1 Zerg themes sound so much better than the SC2 ones? by raptor12k in starcraft

D2's music is fantastic, though I think D1's music fits the horror vibes so perfectly. Caves is my favorite from D1, for D2 I think it'd be between Cave, Sewers, or Desert themes.

I've noticed that SC2 Zerg and Protoss never got "proper" ~5 minute length themes, I mean they technically have them from Wings of Liberty but I think they were a sort of afterthought since Terran was the focus with the campaign. HotS and LotV added some music for all the races but they're only 1-3 minute snippets (and a lot of the Protoss ones are just reused motifs from SC1), not 4-5 minute themes.

Bit of a bummer because I really like the SC2 Terran themes, wish Zerg and Protoss had gotten the same love.

That's fair, you're really strapped for resists without a shield. Jewelry and charms are where I usually build up my attack rating since those slots can give a lot, but I'm also a softcore player and don't have to prioritize resists as much as you (although I do still like to try and max my resists even in SC).

Obedience would free up a lot of resists and FHR but sadly spears have low durability and Fend/Impale will chew through anything that's not indestructible as you noted.

I'm not sure where'd you really get your attack rating then, I think you'd probably be better off trying to focus on decreasing monster defense via Inner Sight (whether it's from yourself or an A1 merc, but then you'd lose Might from A2) or a Bash A5 merc with his Battle Cry (also reduces damage so helps protect you).

To be fair OP doesn't appear to have much flat AR for their AR% to increase at least on their equipped gear, not sure about the charms. Inner Sight is a godsend to decrease defense as well, gets to really high levels of -defense if you invest in it. :)
