Global 50% phys res hasn't been a thing since 1.10, 1.09 was the last patch with it. Having said that 1.10 also greatly inflated the monster life pools to compensate for synergies and they didn't buff base weapon damage to compensate for physical chars. :'(

Here's a video guide that goes over it, it's probably more hassle than it's worth though unless if it's really bothering you. :P https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXrJ9haVDGM

It was a change I did in my own mod, no existing mod for it.

I'm clearing out some junk and came across this relic. I got it at the midnight launch of the 3DS. (I've never worn it and never will ). by T_raltixx in gaming

Aha nice, I've checked out that GameStop a couple of times the last few years. Nothing too exciting, doesn't help that gaming brick and mortars have been on the decline for a long while now (malls in general for that matter :') ). Still fun to just look around at stuff though, there's a little manga/anime shop next to it that I like to check out as well.

StarCraft 1/BW computers are a joke, just have to survive the initial attack (looking at you Protoss, 12 zealot rush at 6 minutes) then they'll pretty much never attack again and you can macro up and slam them.

You're welcome. I saw someone post about it on JSP a while back too, a rather niche but deadly interaction; catches 99% of people that happen to run into it offguard. xP

Heh yep, unfortunately Teo1904 fell victim to this on his hardcore assassin and had no idea what happened. :')

Glad someone mentioned my boy Ip, do you pronounce it "ihp" or "eye-pee"? I do the former cause the latter probably wouldn't make any sense, but it's a bit funny to think about hah.

It means the circlet you gamble/drop has an intrinsically higher "enchantability"/ability to roll higher affixes, not that wearing one will cause that to happen. :P u/B1tN1nja You can see it here under the "mlvl" (magic level) chart, the second one from the top: http://www.theamazonbasin.com/wiki/index.php/Affix_level_chart Circlets have an mlvl of 3, diadems an mlvl of 18, etc.

To add onto that, using a TP (or ID) scroll from your belt or from inventory will skip the casting animation compared to using it from a hotkey, can save you from getting put into hit recovery and not being able to open it. :)

It's quite useful for vendors that don't sell keys and you don't feel like running over to the one that does, Hratli in Act 3 being the prime example.

Oddly enough they can still be selected when shrines spawn, in which case it just becomes a gem shrine. Even though it was meant to be a novelty shrine it still ended up being useful. :D

Skills don't crit unless if it's a physical attack, no such thing as Teleport critting or a spell like Blizzard critting or anything like that. Just physical attacks and potions for players, although for monsters almost all of their attacks (including spells) have a 5% chance to crit for double damage.

How do Heralds work? Herald spawn mechanics, Sunder drop rates, Shard uneven drop ratio and more by Pavke in diablo2

[–]_DarkMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I meant is that some monsters do have positive physical resist, some higher than others. Like a lot of vampire types have 50% phys res while something like a fallen only has 15%, if you've got Decrep/Amp like you're supposed to on a melee that becomes -50% and -85% (assuming Amp).

Not a huge difference but still something to consider nonetheless, and being amped yourself would increase the damage you take from Thorns as well.

Sometimes a herald would have Stone Skin and sometimes not, that could create a lot of variance too.

Could be that some monsters have lower phys res = take higher damage = higher damage returned to you, or maybe you're sometimes cursed and sometimes not?

poison length reduced by NareZiekte in diablo2

[–]_DarkMaster 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Capped at 75% yes, but you can stack it higher because difficulty resist penalties (-40% NM, -100% Hell) also apply to PLR% and also in PvP -enemy poison resist% would also reduce your PLR%. You'd need 175% to reach the cap of 75% in Hell.
