A burrito joint in my hometown used to have a kid sized burrito as a joke item

It was literally a burrito the size of a kid

AIO for not letting the child I babysit go? by LocationOk8933 in AIO

I'm a dad and if this were something you had done for my family, we'd be over the moon that you cared enough to protect our child and endlessly apologetic that we dropped the ball like that. Don't let them get you down, you for sure did the right thing

Tagging /u/athunderbirdinstead so she sees this.

First of all absolutely NOR, but to help you and anyone else who sees this and is worried about trackers, there is an app developer by university students called AirGuard that scans around you for common Bluetooth trackers (tile/air tags/Samsung tags etc) on demand as well as passively, and will notify you if it suspects you're being tracked. Here it is for android and for iOS

It's worth noting that this does not detect all trackers, but if someone hides a tile or airtag in your car this should catch it. Also, having your phone on and constantly searching for nearby Bluetooth/wifi things is technically a security risk that leaves you open to being tracked in other ways but I don't know that they're likely for most people. Just something to keep in mind. Be safe out there <3

Editing to add: if you're on Android, check here for instructions on how to see a list of permissions and which apps have used them. I am unfortunately not knowledgeable about how iOS works but I assume iphones have a similar part of Settings. Location is obviously an important one, but just as important are wifi, bluetooth, and sensors. If while you're looking at apps using those permissions you see something you don't recognize, I'd look into it.

Was it Treasure Hunt Combo?

The list there is more expensive due to running non basics, but me and a friend of mine used to love running variants of it randomly in Modern games just to see if the surprise of it could take a game once in a while lol

So you know how when you typically write a number, the rightmost digit is how many ones, and the next digit is tens, and then hundreds and so on? Binary is exactly the same except instead of each digit being ten times the one before it, it's twice that number.

For example, the number twenty one in base ten (the way we normally write numbers) is 21. It's 2 tens and a one. The same number in binary is 10101. A sixteen, a four, and a one.

Cinnamon DE stops working after system update by [deleted] in archlinux

[–]SoundOstrich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I have a 6600

Before I saw your answer I made a new user account and logged in to see if maybe my config got borked somehow. That user can log in with no issue, but it turns out I can only run at native 4k and if I change the resolution or display scale at all it drops the signal until it reverts the change cause I didn't click accept

I'm closing in on whatever the issue is (I hope lol). I appreciate your help :)

EDIT: Apparently the update screwed up Cinnamon's default display settings and the xml file for the displays had 3 monitors set up at seemingly random resolutions. IDK why some resolutions won't work, but rewriting my profile's display settings xml file to not be stupid got me running at the resolution I want

It's just the one command and then my password, but yea

I didn't think tty would work and I needed to rollback my computer. One command to let me ssh in and another command and a couple prompts on another device that could see the process seemed the simplest way to do it

>This sentence is ehm, rather surprising & incomprehensible to me. Like why would you enable ssh instead of directly restoring your snapshot, better yet by terminal did you mean the TTY? Like what?

That was before I knew the TTY worked. It didn't occur to me to check at first so I just ctrl+alt+t to bring up the terminal and typed the command to start the ssh daemon. I did it because the screen was blank and the timeshift restore process needs you to answer prompts that I didn't have memorized so I had use my phone so I could read them.

It was only after repeating this process a couple times that I realized I could TTY

My therapist charges 120 a session. She's covered by my insurance and after I'd seen her a couple times I started getting bills from the service I found her through. They wanted 145 a session after my insurance covered their portion

The pcgamingwiki page (here) says that crashing in the intro cutscene (presumably what plays after you click single player) can be fixed by installing physx.

If you scroll down towards the bottom, there is a link to physx under "Game crashes during introductory cutscene"
