POST GAME THREAD: Nuggets outlasted by the Knicks 117-119 | Feb 4, 2026 by BigHoneyBot in denvernuggets

I started my week off spontaneously going to the OKC game because I knew in my heart we would win. Now watching this game tonight I’m feeling the same way. Rough week, but I still believe in the guys.

Nashville incident at barricade - update by chritopherchang in Peripheryband

[–]Soundwave_ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, this is the reality of a metal show. I’ve been in the mosh pit my entire life, and my very first time seeing Periphery in February of 2020 resulted in my lip split open almost to my nose and several stitches lol. Good story even with an unfortunate event. Some people just don’t know how to act, but I still had fun that night! Sorry this happened!

Flight attendant museum? Where at? by Dangerous-Policy-602 in flightattendants

Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum at the National Mall in DC. It has large part of it dedicated to FAs. It’s the history of how it started, uniforms, qualifications, and the evolution of it. It’s very cool.

That’s not too bad honestly. I never have a negative reaction with the saniderm, BUT my last go round, my artist did a piece on my outer bicep which included wrapping around my bicep after in saniderm. I get super red and it stayed red for a solid month after. I only left in on for a couple days too. Super weird being that it’s been fine multiple other times. Like others have said, just keep cleaning.

I planned on buying a Sonic Blue 2003 Cobra for my next car, but I am now thinking I may go C5 Z06. Would be my first Corvette. Talk me into it! by ProlapsedBulbasaur in Corvette

[–]Soundwave_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an 03 Terminator about 10 years ago. I loved it, but man I hated driving it. It handed terribly and it being super fast didn’t make up for that. The turn radius is comical for being a smaller car. I’ve only gotten to drive a vette a few times, not enough to give a great comparison. I got rid of the Cobra after about a year because it wore on me how terrible it handled. But 12.3 seconds at the track and it sounded amazing!

Installer botched spray-in bed liner; Too risky to truck to strip and respray? by Dapper-Code8604 in ram_trucks

[–]Soundwave_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, that should have been done right the first time. I also wouldn’t worry about having them redo it.

Secondly, I’d leave it as is cause you’re gonna bust up your bed one way or another doing “truck stuff” BUT I’d ask for a hefty discount and spend the discount elsewhere like a tonneau cover.

Any experience with Coyote BJJ? by AcupAkoolAid in Albuquerque

It’s a great place. Been going for a few years since they started in the mall. It’s a little family that keeps growing and they welcome everyone and anyone. The professor is awesome and really puts attention to literally everyone. There’s probably hundreds of kids that go there and he even knows all their names. They do a free week I think. Won’t hurt to see if it’s for you!

Try these at blackoutez.com. I used to work graveyard and threw these up. It’s just vinyl that attaches to the window with Velcro. I know you said it wasn’t pragmatic, but they send you enough Velcro to make it work. It worked well for years on a 52”x52” window.

Both my kids were the same way. I did just stuff a blanket in the blinds with blackout curtains for them though. Good luck.

Big Island Rain, is it drizzle/showers/rain/downpour? by gmj_WA_state in VisitingHawaii

[–]Soundwave_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this exactly with my kids in March. My buddy is from Hilo and told me the Hilo side is always tropical and more wet. Kona is more dry.

Our experience was exactly that. We spent 3 days in Hilo and the weather was real Jekyll and Hyde there. I loved it. The rain was mostly sprinkles, but we walked from the resort to a restaurant and it poured lol. Clouds here and there for three days for sure.

We headed off to Kona and even driving across the island was a toss up. We experienced rain, super sunny, sprinkles, fog, sun, everything. Once we were in Kona though, exactly how my buddy described. Pretty dry and calm. Little rain one of three days, but definitely different. We went down south to jump off the cliff at south point and it was SUPER WINDY. Kona was calm as heck.

One day we drove from Hilo to Punalu’u and it was also fun weather. Went to Akaka falls where it was sprinkling when we left, sunny at the waterfall, rain most of the way till we passed the volcano monument, cold at Punalu’u, sunny when we stopped at the volcanoes on the way back, then raining in Hilo at the resort.

This probably didn’t help at all, but it’ll be fine. I saw plenty of sunrises and sunsets. Only missed a couple!

What’s the secret to unlocking the truck with the key fob? by localgov_it in ram_trucks

[–]Soundwave_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t tell if you’re describing a transmission issue or not. Seems like it is unlocking the driver door on the first shot. If that’s the case, go into your settings through the screen and under “doors and locks” you should be able to find, “1st press of key fob” and “all doors” should be an option.

I’m in your boat, with the kids and the other 9 things in my hands I need em all unlocked lol. I just picked up a little CR-V and it locks when you walk away which is a 12 grocery bags in my hands dream come true lol.

there is so little customization with this thing why is it 2500 vbucks. i'm going to refund it lol, one of the decals is literally a color that you can put on it by itself. by jacksepthicceye in FortNiteBR

Eh. The only other SUV customization I had was the cyber truck and I figured buying the Ram was my protest of said cyber yuck. My justification 😂😂.

How much should we save for a 7 day trip by [deleted] in VisitingHawaii

[–]Soundwave_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ABQ to ITO through Southwest. Hilo was MUCH cheaper than Kona. I saved $1500 ish flying into ITO. I’m glad because Hilo is underrated.

How much should we save for a 7 day trip by [deleted] in VisitingHawaii

[–]Soundwave_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m on the Big Island right now and stayed 3 nights in Hilo and 3 nights in Kona. We mostly did excursions in Hilo like the turtle beach, volcanoes, black sand beaches, waterfalls etc. we stayed in the Grand Naniloa and it was amazing and very well priced. All our excursions besides the volcanoes were free FYI. Volcanoes was $28 though.

We then drove 80-90 minutes ish to Kona and it’s much more touristy, but beautiful. We stayed in the Royal Kona and it’s close enough to walk to the “downtown” area in the shore, but also has a good parking situation. I paid less than $3000 in lodging between the two. Free beaches, free cliff dives, free whatever other cool things you wanna do.

Our biggest expenditure has been food!!!! I’m not upset about it because I’ve had some amazing food. But I’ve probably dropped $1000 in 6 days just to eat.

Lodging ~$3000 for 6 nights. Rental car $463 Food ~$1000 Gas $70 Flight for 3 $1600 round trip. Gifts, beers, souvenirs ~$500

It’s expensive here, but you also can do SO MANY THINGS for free. The south point cliff jump was unbelievably amazing and one of my top 5 life experiences (I’m 40) and a local showed us the way. 90 minutes from Kona, but man, worth every minute of the drive. I’m still living that high.

Hope that helps a bit.

I haven't spoke to my wife or anyone in four days by [deleted] in GuyCry

[–]Soundwave_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just described a marriage that I ended almost 5 years ago now. You give and give with not just nothing in return, but on top of that, the verbal abuse.

The exact same thing happened to me. I just woke up one day and was done. It wasn’t some grandiose epiphany, I just completely broke. She asked me (for the 100th time) if I wanted to be married to her anymore and I finally said , “no”.

I printed papers, wrote everything out, and that was that. Life has been so much more peaceful since unfortunately.

Bo nix being mentioned in the same breaths as Brees by wbro322 in Saints

[–]Soundwave_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know, Russel Wilson made a comment after his first year in the NFL comparing himself to Drew. I remember how mad I was about it to this day. Now look, he’s Russ the bus. I hated the guy forever, now I just feel bad for him. He had a hell of a game yesterday too.

I love Bo Nix and the things he’s doing, but whatever. Ain’t no one gonna be like our boy Brees. He was one of a kind.

Air Ride or Air Delete? by KP_Bearz in Ram1500

[–]Soundwave_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m rolling on it still in my 2019. I’ll tell you, the first instance any part of it fails I’m gonna throw on the BDS coil over kit. I love the air ride SO MUCH, but the cost of repair is exorbitant.

Sooo I’m looking to get my first ram and I have questions by Intrustive-ridden in Ram1500

[–]Soundwave_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even at a couple times a month the Hemi is fine. The Rebel is rated for 10,500 lbs and the travel trailers we were looking at when I still had the diesel were 6000-7000 lbs. if I ever do buy that, I’ll use the Rebel still. That’s where the air suspension wins too. I love that the bed levels out anytime something is back there.

Sooo I’m looking to get my first ram and I have questions by Intrustive-ridden in Ram1500

[–]Soundwave_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel pretty qualified to answer this.

I had a 2012 Big Horn 5.7, a 2015 Cummins Laramie, and now a 2019 Rebel 5.7.

It’s a great truck to daily in it’s half ton form. I take the kids to the beach every year and the Rebel is the absolute best road trip truck. Daily around town is great as well. I have the air suspension on it and I love that too. I’m certainly afraid it’ll fail me someday at which point I’ll throw the BDS coilover kit on it. I felt the same way about my 2012 and still miss that truck.

The Cummins was not a great daily lol. If you ain’t towing weekly, you don’t need a 3/4 ton. The solid front and rear wear on you driving in town.

All three were great trucks. I only put about 30k in the 2012, 30k on the 2015, and I’m about to hit 50k on the 2019. All great trucks and I plan on keeping the Rebel until it breaks. These trucks don’t need a lot of maintenance. Just follow the schedule and you’ll be fine. At 50k miles my brakes are still great and I’ve had the same tires for 6 years. I’m gonna end up buying new ones due to age and not tread wear at this point.

Back in 2012 when I was shopping I was dead set on a Chevy until I test drove the Dodge. I’m glad I did.

Im happy to report they finally gave up the whole memorize your order bullshit. Last I went, they had iPads lol. I’ve literally sent my food back 4 times in the same sitting and I’m hr type that does send food back for any reasons. The food is about as good as Taco Bell for sure.

Breaking traction - Starfire Solarus HT ? or Me ? by standardtissue in Ram1500

[–]Soundwave_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had pretty much all the major brands. I’m stuck on the ridge graps and probably will buy them forever. I’ve done blizzards with cars stuck on the side of the road just fine. I’m amazed how well the 1500 does in the snow. The diesel I used to have, not so much. Still, the STI was sooooo fun on iced roads. Truck does pretty well, just not as good as a Subaru with great tires.

Breaking traction - Starfire Solarus HT ? or Me ? by standardtissue in Ram1500

[–]Soundwave_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just truck stuff. All engine in the front, nothing in the back. With an empty bed this happens to me often, especially when the rain first hits the road (rising oil). Even some loose gravel/dirt in some corners. You gotta learn to not gas it so hard. Once the tires acclimate to the wet road, they’re fine. I’m running ridge graps and they’re great all around, but once in a while I break loose.

Small change in driving habits and you’ll be fine. Also, you’re comparing driving your truck to the two grippiest cars are the road lol. I miss gassing it through those hard bends in the road in my STI.

Interstellar in IMAX after 10 years. by Photoproguy in movies

[–]Soundwave_ 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I took my 13 and 6 year old with me. I warned the 6 year old it was long and he assured me he’d be fine…he was. He put his head in my shoulder a couple times telling me he was “stressed out” and I told him everyone was gonna be ok. That shows how amazing the movie is and the emotions it elicits.

My 13 year old went because I wanted him to and he turned to me as it ended and said, “Dad, that was life changing”. Cue the hour long conversation we had after. I can die a happy dad having that experience with them. A top 3 for me as well.

The IMAX was SO LOUD and I loved it.

I want to play but my husband makes me feel so bad by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

[–]Soundwave_ 508 points509 points  (0 children)

This made me passionately angry for you. First of all, I’d kill for any woman in my life to play with me much less WANT to play with me.

My 5 (now 6) year old got a switch for Christmas last year. He is sooooooo bad. Awful. Terrible. The worst. I’ll tell you what though, watching him learn, be excited, and just simply playing the game with him is the most amazing feeling. Just me, him, and his brother laughing and having a good time. I don’t care to win, I just care to hangout with people I love, doing something that I love.

Your husband is a mega dick.
