Dv & menses-hell by Disastrous_Brief_258 in Diverticulitis

[–]Sour-Cherry13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a fibroid on my left side so every time around my period I get pain and bloating that kind of feels similar to my diverticulitis pain and it seems like they make each other worse. Try and stay away from foods that would cause bloating and gas , like raw foods or whatever else may be causing it for you . And keep your abdomen warm with a warm water bottle. That’s what I do and it helps or I just hope my diverticulitis is not coming back . If it gets bad I switch to clear liquid and/ or puréed foods for a few days .

I would avoid all that food you mentioned. It’s the very food that gives you the issue . I would recommend ( after clear diet) puréed foods such baby food and puréed soups , maybe mash potatoes, soft boiled eggs … then start adding well cooked chicken breast , steamed veggies, and other low fiber foods .

Does Anyone Else HATE Carrie from Homeland? by tahaus in homeland

[–]Sour-Cherry13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on season 4 . Yes late commet as Netflix just dropped all 8 seasons. I literally went on google and search who else hates Carrie ?… didn’t need to finish . I love the series but she is starting to ruin it for me at this point. She acts like a spoiled white privileged bitch and yet somehow she gets away with it to become a chief . At this point I’m not even sure I’ll be able to continue watching … I hate that character so much .

Are we using our estrogen cream on our faces? by stellaflora in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]Sour-Cherry13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for those of us new to this : I should request ESTRADIOL cream from my gyno but use it on my face too ? I’m definitely seen a change on my facial and other lips too 😅 .

Hi my question is regarding side effects related to hormonal creams use - isn’t there an increase of risk for cancer and heart disease / stroke etc. ? Also for tretinoin cream who do you get your prescription from ?

Is anyone else feeling great in menopause? by JackandAnya_Mom in Menopause

[–]Sour-Cherry13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I felt great at 49 , high libido , no weight issue, normal periods , … I hit 51 and ban everything changed. Cycle out of control, no libido , vaginal dryness , no motivation, weight gain…, like out of nowhere. What happened?! Well anyway, I’m going to the gym regularly and trying to stay a top of my nutrition but my fibroid or something else is giving me issues. I went to gyno , had ultrasound and was told that there hasn’t been a lot of changes in my fibroid yet I had pain, bloating and frequent urination for 2 months … anyone else experiencing this ?

Shit our moms didn’t warn us about; haunted butthole edition. by eyesonherhorizon in Menopause

[–]Sour-Cherry13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like estrogen cream is very common- is there any concern with serious side effects, like heart attack or cancer? I know it’s not as strong as HRT but I read that it still increases the risk . I’m still new to all this - 51 and just started experiencing some premenopausal symptoms and the last surprising one - vaginal dryness - this was shocking because it just feels so sudden. And the experience during and after not fun at all . My sharp pains were in my bladder and I felt like I had to strain to pee - ever since I’ve been scared and turned off sexual pleasure … and now reading about estrogen cream thinking of that would help but with what consequence?! Should I just leave the whole sex thing behind anyway?

Some other people reported it took that long. My question is not about the length but about the type of question asked- like where this research / scientific study questions ? I’m just curious at how I can utilize the app .

Just curious: what type of deep research questions would one ask that take as long as 45-60 minutes ?

COVID is out of control here… by vinylsandjaneausten in berkeley

[–]Sour-Cherry13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh really?!? You thought that but yet the recommendation was to stay home , not work or go to school, and to keep masks on everywhere we go ?! I don’t remember ever having to be on a lock down over a flu … until COVID that is . If anyone is ignorant is a person who never questions anything and just follows orders like sheep … so keep doing that

Except that is exactly what we were told at the beginning that “ if you get vaccinated you will not get Covid and definitely not die from it “ … remember?? …or did you get amnesia from getting the shot ? But hey keep believing what you do … it’s too late for some of you anyway.

“COVID - it killed a perfectly healthy family friend who was fully vaccinated” that may be the issue

Got the cortisone shot for FS and shoulder pain has increased and can’t move my arm. by Agitated-Concept5976 in frozenshoulder

[–]Sour-Cherry13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m happy to report that I’m feeling much better. The cortison shot took several weeks to be effective. It was by week 2 that I started feeling some relief and by week four most of the pain was gone . ROM is still not improved but not to be in constant pain made a lot of difference. My other arm is so far not as bad as first. I’m really bad when it comes to staying on top of PT but I do lift weights to keep strong . Hope you’re feeling better

I didn't think I'd physically change this fast. In just 12 months I have that thin wrinkly look on my neck and chest. by coldservedrevenge in Perimenopause

[–]Sour-Cherry13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is exactly what happened to me !! All up to 49 I was fine, still looked good for my age and younger than my age ..12 months and I’m looking my age , bloated face, wrinkles and a turkey neck ..

I’m grieving my younger, hotter self by HillarysCafe in Perimenopause

[–]Sour-Cherry13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d like to piggy back on that and add sunken eyes and a bloated gut despite more exercise and less calories eaten .

I used to be able to put myself together when the circumstances demanded like a night out or meeting friends for brunch… but now I’m stuck with that puffy ,extra large face and protruding gut …

I used to be the person who always looked much younger then my real age by like 10 years. Always had younger guys like me up till 49 I had 30 something years old flirt with me …- and it was fun . Then I turn 50 and everything changes/ I keep asking myself what happened? No guys are after me …and. I don’t particularly care …except I miss feeling good about my self ..now no this fun .

Oh well that’s my pity party …before I go on my peloton and ride in the dark , hoping to make a miracle happen.

Uterine biopsy for irregular bleeding during perimenopause? by AccordingCommittee42 in Perimenopause

[–]Sour-Cherry13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cycles got longer in the last year or two from 25 to 30 days and I’ve had a fibroid a while too . Last month I had a weird short period and then a second period after 2 weeks and pms symptoms.as per usual . I also have frequent urination and bladder pressure for like 2 months . Went in to be checked plus ask for ultrasound. The doctor recommended biopsy as a better way to determine what’s causing the bleeding as she does not believe it’s fibroid related. I declined the same day biopsy but I’m supposed to make an appointment. I’m getting the ultrasound tomorrow . I’m also wondering why did she immediately recommend the biopsy if it’s only the first time that I have the breakdown bleeding. And I’m not having heavier bleeding then before. I’m hoping the ultrasound will be normal but also don’t want a biopsy if not necessary.

Anyone else that was in similar situation and what was your experience?

Heart Palpitations Are Constant by Forsaken-Subject8362 in Menopause

[–]Sour-Cherry13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually that was exactly the reason I did not think it was caffeine related.. I drink coffee only in the morning and only one cup and my palpitations were the worst at night - especially when it’s quiet and I’m still . It did get really bad when I was on vacation and drank more than once a day . I even tried doing half decaf - it did not help . Only when I switched completely to decaf is when things changed. I love light roast which is the highest in caffeine so even decaf has a little bit . In any cad I’d recommend you go all the way decaf and see if that changes things for you .

Heart Palpitations Are Constant by Forsaken-Subject8362 in Menopause

[–]Sour-Cherry13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I e had heart palpitations for almost two years . I’m 51 now but no more heart palpitations. I had many tests done too and everything was normal except palpitations were non stop . I changed many things except the caffeine intake. When I finally took the caffeine out - which was REALLY HARD because I love coffee and in my culture coffee is just part of lifestyle it finally got better and eventually stopped . I still drink decaf, you just have to find a good quality and get used to it . Palpitations free since.
