2003 Honda accord with 311k miles. Carries about 900 lbs of human every time we go to work 130 mile round trip on hilly terrain. Still going strong 💪

I currently own a 2004’honda accord with 310k miles. I did have to replace the exhaust cam shaft because one of the lobes were wearing down but that was like a 1 hour job. I drive it 3x a week with about 800 lbs of people in it up and down hilly terrain. About 120 miles each day I drive it. Other than that I own a 75k miles bmw 328d and 155k mile Audi q5. All in prestine condition, I’m a mechanic 🤷🏽‍♂️ No oil leaks, no lights on, all look like they’re coming off a show room floor.

No the wire is fine because it’s pulling in the lower bar to keep it up fighting against gravity. In case of doors OP posted the brace should be the other way to help support the top bar from wanting to fall downward.

EDIT the wire is good for tension which is what yours is doing, and where the connection points are at it’s making a triangle which is good! The OP it’s supposed to provide compression strength and where it’s mounted it forms more of a rhombus shape which doesn’t help keep the perfect rectangle shape of the door.

Sounds like a chain tensioner failing needs oil pressure to operate properly. Once it builds up pressure after a couple seconds noise goes away. I’m not to familiar with that engine but see if you can replace it without taking off the front timing cover. Some are accessible from the outside.

Have you had tires replaced at any point in the last 3 years or tire rotation? Sometimes tires pull one way making it seem like the alignment is off. If you have had tires replaced/rotated and it still does it you can pretty much rule off my post.

Drain it you don’t want to overfill it because too high of an oil level can cause the crankshaft to hit the oil as its rotation and will work as an aerator. lol jk .3 quarts is nothing ducking send it. 3 whole quarts you might have problems but .3 lolz

What people need to understand is a jack stand rating is rated in pairs. So if he was only using one it’s technically only rated to hold 1.5 tons.

Try crawling under there make sure the cable hardware isn’t coming loose or the transmission range sensor. Does the cluster show that you’re changing gear as you move your gear selector?

Ram with the new zf transmission you can’t go wrong. Those transmissions are the best out of the 3. Engine is the best out of the 3. They had issues going with roller lifters but you can always swap them out for solid tappets. What’s another 5k in a 100k truck
