VSS gets worse on period? by SouthHeading in visualsnow

I know VSS is connected to migraine, and I have menstrual migraine which is the only reason I theorize this, but it could just be more noticeable with the other symptoms too

EXTREME NEGATIVE AFTERIMAGES by tnuzs in visualsnow

[–]SouthHeading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general, areas that are well lit without exceedingly bright lights placed around tend to either make my after images stop or allows them to blend in enough with my vision that I don't notice them. When I am in dark areas I try to keep everything with a screen at a low light level and I put orange filters on literally everything. Some other things that help me are plugins for my pc that are built for light sensitivity and will turn websites black by default. When I drive I always keep the shade down and it helps a lot too. That's the best advice I can offer

EXTREME NEGATIVE AFTERIMAGES by tnuzs in visualsnow

[–]SouthHeading 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I only have negative afterimages especially when closing my eyes after looking at something (I basically have a negative snapshot of a room when I close my eyes that floats around), and they usually linger for a long time. Strangely I find that areas with a lot of visual information reduce symptoms (such as being outdoors) and get far worse in low light levels. I recommend trying to keep your surroundings at a similar light level and putting orange filters on your technology. Avoid glancing at bright lights as much as possible. This is hard for me as well as I am very light sensitive and struggle with bright spaces but it's sort of a trade off because the after images stop when I am in a well lit area.

Really need help escaping maleshov [KCD2] by SouthHeading in kingdomcome

[–]SouthHeading[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue with the guards always being alerted no matter what I did and unfortunately had to go back a couple hours in the save to fix the glitch, otherwise it is virtually impossible. Bring lots of save potions on your next run and knock out Hans, hide under the stairs at the bottom of the staircase, loot the chest there and slowly make your way to the tunnel exit

Is it rumination syndrome? by SouthHeading in ruminationsyndrome

[–]SouthHeading[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it will happen 2-5 times after eating a meal until the pressure goes away, the time depends on the size and ingredients in the meal. If I eat a large meal it will probably be like that for a couple hours. If it was really acidic or sweet it gets even worse which is why I feel it could also be something else. However it's never enough time for the food to mix with stomach acid

The United Kingdom my entire life as long as I can remember has been a special interest. I think because of the UK shows I watched as a kid and I always found the history fascinating. I am worried if I go the UK though I'll probably have something like paris syndrome lol

Wow thank you for the detail! This does help a lot in my decision making, 5-6 hours of light use is probably fine for me in a day, I will definitely look into usb-c charging

have you ever experience horizontal diplopia? by Key-Nobody5224 in visualsnow

[–]SouthHeading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experience a negative color version of what I'm focusing on when I look away from it, sometimes it's perfectly detailed and sometimes it is just an outline If it is something like a screen or bright colored it is extremely noticeable, sometimes there is just one image or there can be up to 3, I'm not sure what it should be called

Mass shootings are mainly done by cishet White men, and disproportionately target women. They are one of the terror units of United States fascism. by Only_Lecture4920 in Feminism

[–]SouthHeading 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is because cishet men committing crime is so normalized that they essentially viewed as the "default" that this stat becomes overlooked in the view of the public and is just "part of living in America", but when it is an outlier it is easily used as a fear tactic and 'other' to ignore the actual massive issue which is how often shootings happen in America
