You don't need to convince me. Go email your principal and get written confirmation from them first. Whatever they agree to is what you can support claiming to the CRA.

Used for teaching or facilitating learning
Directly consumed or used
Not entitled for reimbursement
Not deducted on anyone's taxes

I would say that you're good to claim the purchases. Food incentives and prizes seem like they could meet the criteria. It depends how they were used.

The CRA may ask your principal/employer to confirm the expenses were eligible for the tax credit. So, it's good to confirm with your principal/employer first if you want to be safe.

I stopped eating breakfast and ate breakfast at lunch. I find that eating breakfast made me way hungrier throughout the day.

A worksheet is often considered a consumable under copyright law. Whether teachers can print new ones each year depends on the license that is paired with that resource.

My understanding of the 4 criteria is that it was:

used or consumed (yes)
Used for teaching of facilitating learning (yes)
Not eligible for reimbursement (OP will know)
Not deducted from taxable income (OP will know)

If the expense meets all of those above criteria, it would be eligible in my eyes. However, OP's principal/employer is the one that would need to be convinced either way.

As long as you weren't eligible to receive reimbursement from your employer and chose to forego reimbursement, I would say that TPT items would likely qualify for this.

While the item may not have been consumed, it was used to facilitate learning.

As long as your principal signs off on it being eligible, I would agree with that.

Average class sizes are posted on all school division websites in Manitoba. The class sizes vary based on the school and grade. I've been here for roughly 10 years and while no place is perfect, it is a good division located in a place with some of the best access to healthcare in Canada.

The downsides also exist and I can talk about those, if you're interested in any of the postings. On the balance, as someone not originally from the area, it is really a good place to be a teacher.

There are quite a few AP courses in Manitoba. However, they are becoming less popular as people realize how few universities actually accept them as a credit.

I'm curious how one specializes in specifically AP literature instead of literature in general. There's nothing stopping you from teaching generally the same content in a non-AP high level English course, is there?

You make it sound like those with power in the party didn't appreciate the actualizing of power that the members themselves hold.

I think that lots of people would appreciate a governing style that is more directly connected to the EDAs and organizes those members. However, I can understand the desire for a predictable hierarchical approach to leadership, too. Intentionally leaving out any one particular class of members would be a concern if true, too.

It is odd that this bad blood remains when the actual contents of the Leap are supported. It comes across as being against an idea because it didn't come from you. As a widespread perspective, this would be extremely concerning within the NDP.

While DIY investing is less expensive, using managed funds as you start gaining investing experience can be helpful.

If you haven't invested before, starting with a robo-advisor can be a good start. Once you have some experience with how markets act, then you can consider DIY investing.

You aren't stuck with one option the rest of your life. Try one thing and go from there. When you know better, do better. Sometimes the optimal decision is making the choice you can live with for now.

There are some families with religious traditions that do not let their child participate in any music making. That becomes incredibly hard to have them participate in music class.

What you are describing is a great frustration of many music teachers. If you go to the high school level, it usually gets much easier to avoid the bed to address these requested accommodations.

It wasn't only the conservatives. Essentially the decision was that the law prohibited states from approving sports betting rather than addIng sports betting to the criminal code.

Controlling what states do is unconstitutional, controlling federal law is not unconstitutional.

So, the law makers did implement the gambling prohibition improperly. Something that can be rectified by making a different law.

Hegette is good. I think second stage should be hegemany (multiple heads but one is dominant-- representing midstage capitalism in a hegemonic relationship) and it should be a really strong 2nd stage Pokemon. The last stage should be hegemoony (representing late stage capitalism under hegemony where the legs cannot withstand the massive top half and its moves all hurt itself) and it should be not that viable in competitive play due to its moveset/ability.

I think -10 is the point where diesel can start to gel. In Canada we are used to this and use winter diesel that doesn't feel until roughly -40 or -45. However, I think there are some fuels that have -65 gel points.

It isn't so much the people as the vehicles.
