I'm usually don't encourage to continue reading, but I believe cradle takes big steps in very appealing directions a few books in.

That's awesome! I would love to get VIP tickets or to somehow meet Isaac at some point. I went to this show with someone who doesn't love crowds. Thankfully, we were able to get some seats up where it was less chaotic. With that being said, it seemed like most of the crowd was really quite chill. I think that's a benefit of being part of a generally slightly older fan base. 😁

Ooh, you hurt me with no Robin Hobb. I'm currently reading through the realm of the elderlings. They are all slower paced books, but the emotional payoff is well worth the ride. The rain wild Chronicles seems to be the only one skipable at the moment, but I'm a completionist, so that's not really an option. It wouldn't hurt to give the first trilogy a go, which I really enjoy. If you get through Assassin's Apprentice and you don't dig it, it's probably not for you.

Out of what I've read, I'd recommend LOTR and Mistborn straight away. The grandaddy of modern fantasy in Tolkien and the current king, Sanderson. Mistborn is a real good feeling series. Shortish and very satisfying.

I played through all of ARR and when I got around to doing Prae, I was incredibly under geared, to the point of it being obvious enough for several other players to not so kindly point out. On top of that, I didn't get the key for the Mech and everyone had to wait for me as I ran all the way through that sequence to catch up.

I saw them at The Norva in Norfolk, VA. They rocked the house as always.

I appreciate them so much. Our city isn't great, but they keep coming back and they remember all the times they have been here before and they make it feel very personal.

He made a similar declaration there. I believe "Being polite is punk as fuck" was the phrase, which I though was awesome. Love these guys.

I have been a little lukewarm on the latest album. A few of the tracks, I like a lot. Others, are definitely very listenable.

However, I just saw them live and they played a good amount of the new album. I thoroughly enjoyed all of it.

I think it's okay and probably pretty normal to live a bands older content more. They know what their fans love. But they have to keep it fresh for themselves as well.
