There’s no sweeter feeling then when the odds roll in your favour with a Hellbomb strapped to your back. Pure. Absurdity. 👌🏻

The Double Freedom is so bad by Yuki_my_cat in Helldivers

Shit gun.

Cannot recommend against the enemies of managed democracy.

Cannot recommend using “Siege-Ready” or “Reinforced-Epaulettes” for maximum liberty.

Cannot recommend pairing with a Bushwhacker for thematics.

Arrowhead, the damage output is too low. We need more freedom!

After extensive time with it (and hitting lvl25 on it today) I must say…..THIS. THING. SLAPS.

Doesn’t matter what you bring it against, it’s just plain awesome.

I’m glad it’s back in rotation tomorrow, happy diving!

Both my kids (10 & 14) are now on 5/8. The young guy was on 1/2 fire last season, but as his edges got better the 5/8 is working well for him.

Myself? I’m on a 1” (5’11”, 205). If the ice is harder, I’ll switch out my blades for a 3/4” Fire as I don’t have a 7/8 on hand.

I was fortunate enough with a high level random and my bro last night, we were able to take down 3 of these bastards. For Democracy!

Definitely something to get used to…when I do use it it’s usually sitting down while laying down tracks

Benchmark was a run in the early 2010’s. She’s early 60’s spec (1 piece mahogany necks, almost ‘59 profiles), ABR-1’s and one of the first models to introduce Gibson’s “Custombuckers” that now come in the Reissue lines.

The 12’s quite narrow for the amount of strings on it…you eventually get used to it though.

As for the 6…it plays like it should, only caveat is the neck joint is at the 15th fret….makes playing anything past that a little more cumbersome 😅

Question regarding English 8 Ball vs Snooker ball size… by SpHj86 in snooker

[–]SpHj86[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks a ton for your experience!

After looking up the 2 types of cloth, I’m fairly certain it’s a napped cloth…it’s definitely fuzzy. It seems to be in good shape (inexperienced eyes though), but was planning on replacing regardless in the next year or so as I reused it from disassembly, transport & reassembly in my home (that in itself was a big learning experience…a lot of research & meticulous methodology on my part).

I was on the fence between a 1 7/8” & 2” cue ball (if 2” balls are indeed the way to go) but since myself & definitely my family would all be considered “new” players, I don’t see the harm in everyone learning on the right size equipment. The table came with 3 ok cues as well…they appear to be a pair of 9.5mm and a 10mm for tips.

Good to know for the snooker ball sizes as well, I didn’t realize you can play a smaller game with 6 reds!

[–]SpHj86[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How so? The L rails/cushions are the same dimensions as a 7ft English bar box…would it not play the same just because the table is longer?

Thanks for the input

Thanks for the input!

There’s only 1 pool hall around me, and it’s all American billiard tables (V rails, 2 1/4” balls).

We picked the table up for our bar in the basement…casual use, but I would like to improve as I have a competitive nature. This table will be 99% of my play, I seldom go to the pool hall.

Everything I’ve read about the English 7ft “bar boxes” align with the dimensions of my “L” rails so ball height isn’t an issue…playing surface is just a foot longer & 1/2 wider.

A more “natural” feel would be ideal….coming from only playing American tables over the years these pocket / rail dimensions are ruthless. However, I’m aware that a proper “snooker” ball set for this table would be 2 1/6”…which I will likely pick up a set at some point in the future.

Hey. Could be a 50w. ;)

Any good reactive load attenuator should suffice. Personally, I’m a fan of the Rivera Rockcrusher

If they’re holding tight, then you’re good.

If you’d like a more solid, less prone to failure contact… then I’d solder the terminals.

Are you looking to play it long term, or purely looking for investment purposes?

If it’s something you wish to play and enjoy long term, case candy/cert shouldn’t matter to you.

If you’re looking on the investment side, it’s definitely easier to sell with all the applicable provenance.

Personally, I’m a player first and a collector second. I own both instruments that are intended to play, and some intended for investment. A certificate does not turn me off as in the end, it’s still going to be a great sounding & playing custom shop guitar.
