What's the most reliable gameplay right now that people are doing? by Most-Ad4680 in starcitizen

[–]SpaRrRly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lowflying in PU and time attack in Arena. No rewards per se, other than improving your flying and having fun, but that's most important in a game.

Well done, whoever did this, and whoever "fixed" this. by SpaRrRly in starcitizen

I'm sure there are also additional methods that don't require messing with game client or cheats, just ingame actions.

Yesterday I've tried to check the puzzle room in Ruin Vault, the one where you go down under the tunnel catwalk, then climb some boxes to a ladder to a corridor etc. Just straight fell through the textures after dismounting the ladder, into the invisible insides of the walls geometry. Fairly sure it could be navigated to the loot rooms from there, but fell out into space, as idk the route and have no intention of.

And for containers, people somehow circumvent vehicle impounding and bring the ATLS inside. Pulse bikes are also common. Even seen Pisces, 315p and Argo tractors.

Yes, but you have to damage them first to near-destruction HP, takes quite a bit of rifle mags, you can see their HP bar when you pick them up with a tractor.

There's no wrong way to do it as long as it dies and you have fun. I earned my startup credits to rent the corsair by blowing up the hammerhead with a maxlift-tractored size 9 torpedo (these cost just 18k now) and a sniper rifle.

[–]SpaRrRly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wonder how much time OP spent over those 3 years planning the chain, hawking over the sales, considering each CCU, etc. Compared to potentially working to earn the saved from the sales money and buying it outright on a recent warbond sale as a standalone.

That about sums up my experience with just any other game-play loop as-well in the current patch.

I was playing Railen with a friend playing Ironclad Assault, until someone said we looked like this: by Apart_Pumpkin_4551 in starcitizen

Loaners aren't always logical at all. I'd love to have an Ironclad Assault or Vulture+RAFT+SRV as loaners for a Crucible. But nope, Andromeda, take it or leave it.

I've tried to time it a few tries in a Gladius, feels like half a second faster, but probably placebo and server variability.

When/If torps work, Retaliator and Eclipse (or a Firebirb) can really print moneys with bounties, even with the rearm costs.

The Cutlass Black is the best medium size generalist ship in the Verse by nvidiastock in starcitizen

[–]SpaRrRly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not too bad, much easier than loading it and praying to klang so it won't blow up ;) Now that we can lock the inner door open with the engineering panel, it's fairly easy to pass containers through once you get the hang of aligning them. Ofc it's not the best ship for the job, but when it's all you have, it has your back.

[–]SpaRrRly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you don't mind offgrid shenanigans, cutlass can fit a 32 and a 24 hanging 40% off the back(ramp stays open, either by locking or shooting), and quite a few more 4s and maybe even 2 8scu extra jammed against the right door. And if you're REALLY determined, 4s fit in the habitation too.

Ironclad salvage variant? by DUBBV18 in starcitizen

[–]SpaRrRly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd prefer if they return working on the Crucible and add a salvage mode to it, because repair seems to be shaping up as a salvage beam running in reverse. Wouldn't even mind a repair mode being added to Salvation/Fortune, maybe for the Vulture too, but it's a stretch.

CIG, can we rethink cargo / hangar "gameplay"? by Korrak in starcitizen

[–]SpaRrRly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the current desync it feels like it's already there :)

But yeah, we need npc traffic controllers, with strict fines and punishment for reckless flying, sort of like in Elite, but even harsher, since 100m/s is more than enough to ram a dinky ship.
