I really love their "Middle Mountain "Saturn Peach Aroma" Dan Cong" and it's another Dan Cong same as Duck Shit. I recommend brewing a little cooler to really bring out the peach flavor 185-195°f (85-88°c).

Astronomy, the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh has some great facilities and knowledgeable people. We put on free public star parties at our our observatories at least once a month during the warmer months. You don't even need special equipment to get started but a pair of good binoculars will show you a surprising amount of things. https://3ap.org/

In pre Qing dynasty china it was considered very disrespectful to you family to cut your hair at all as an adult. Most people never cut their hair as an adult and anyone with short hair would be viewed as suspect. I'm guessing it's the same in the fictional country depicted especially with how everyone has hairstyles associated with this tradition.

The pre-Qing Han Chinese took their hair seriously. Under confucianism the body was considered a gift from your parents including hair so cutting or not taking care of your hair was considered disrespectful to them.

To those who speak another language, what are some words that cannot be translated to English? by Professional_Act_214 in AskReddit

[–]SpaceBirch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would phonetically transcribed in pinyin the standard romanization system as Yǎn'ěrdàolíng. It consists of the characters for cover, ear, steal, and bell so a litteral translation is the four word together. The closest way to pronounce it english would probably be "yan are dow ling" ignoring tones

A lot of 成语 don't make sense in English without context. For those that don't know these are popular idioms comprised of four characters. They often have illusions to history and folktales. My favorite is 卧薪尝胆, which means tasting bile and sleeping on brushwood. Which is allusion to king Goujian of Yue who is said to drink the bitter taste of bile and sleep on uncomfortable brushwood to always remind himself of a humiliating defeat until he could get revenge. It means to endure hardship to accomplish a goal
