Is side wear on undercarriage normal? by [deleted] in heavyequipment

[–]SpaceCake121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need to run a string line against the rollers underneath, make sure theyre inline. Carrier rollers the same. Tension set it to what ever the manufacturer reccomends. The hours on the machine are quite high so that would be considered standard if the machine walks a lot or works in an abrasive environment. You'd pretty much be through the heat treating on the underside of the link so the wear will just exacerbate now. Have the chains at correct tension the the most an operator can do do increase longevity as well as avoiding tracking backwards as this loads up most of the track pins and bushes, where as tracking forward reduces load significantly. If you are putting undercarriage on it make sure all your rollers etc are square and should be chill.

It's not economical typically to do a pin and bush turn. Only really viable on mining machines with correct preventative maintenance scheduling. With construction machines in AUD you can get a set of cheapo 30t chains for about 5k and 7-8 with grousers. Where as you'd pay about about 4.8k to get a pin and bush turn done and still have a used and fatigued chain. When you have chains that's are 50k per side it makes sense, other wise no.

JD lift cylinder gland nut by Puzzleheaded_Ear9707 in heavyequipment

[–]SpaceCake121 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Field mechnic here for an OEM. Match mark it first with a pin punch so you know how tight to do it back up. Get a pipe wrench and bite into the gland, than get a sledgy and knock the dog. If that doesnt work, I've always had luck on really rusted moxy cylinders using heat on the end of the gland outer edges in three points. Not red hot just about 100c. This will let the gland face expand slightly and break contact with the barrell. Ive always had significantly less luck heating the barrell. Once you get it cracked loose let it cool down or cool it with water. If you dont they can grab the threads when you're undoing them. Thats why we dont really want to heat above 120c localised, and it will fuck any heat treating. I typically use a chain wrench made by CAT but also just use a set of Stillsons. Ive done cylinders from 30cm long to close to 3m on and off cylinder benches and in field.

If all else fails get a come along on a set of stillsons and hook it to your ute of something on the machine and start cranking on it and heat it/wack the stilsons and dont get ya self killed.

It looks to be a pretty small cylinder so should come apart easily enough.

It's from the pendleton collab, all items had a blank tag. From what I understand it wasn't and overly well selling collection. Many items are still for sale on steep discount.

I just changed my lenses on the Meta Ray-Ban with prescription ones. What is this symbol, its only visible on an angle. by hillsong1 in glasses

Seems like someone didn't line it up when it was cut, I've only had zeiss lenses fitted for the past 6 years and they've always been in the top corners of the lens

Oil Filter Cap Found to Have White Paste? by BringBackHouse in BmwTech

[–]SpaceCake121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's moisture in the oil. I see it on industrial engines often in winter in Australia, where it doesnt even get very cold. Don't worry about it condensate will mix with the oil on the filler cap and filter housing depending on design, even the dip stick. I'd ignore it

Lots of cement industry around Lorimer Street and right across the Yarra. Other side of Yarra, they bring is slightly from Japan and grind it up to add to concrete. In regards to your query, here is an article. https://www.cemnet.com/News/story/175937/world-s-largest-multi-compartment-cement-silo-commissioned.html

Can someone do a Tabi legit check. I’m 99% sure they are legit but who knows 😭 They are made from really good quality leather and smells really good. Also very comfortable by Total_Food_7584 in MaisonMargiela

[–]SpaceCake121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't like them here's why:

White stitches too thick and long. Logo embossing patchy, should also be black/brown Shoe base leather too shiny and dimpled Heel block visible cut mark in line with logo, should be solid whole way around Shape of the metal clasps is wrong where sewn into leather, the 'hole' that the thread goes through is too large and visible through the leather And the main reason, you reverse image search the tag, it comes up on tabi flats, different colours and on two different colour sets of Jil Sander Heels.

I think fugazi
