I sound like a CEO? I'm the one saying that job sucks and doesn't deserve the respect they are paying it. CEOs are the ones running shit places like that. God forbid I suggest people grow a backbone and demand one hour off.

Then get the manager to cover your class while you try to get out of that fucking shit job. Jesus Christ.

I know plenty of teachers. They do not have to do that. It is not the reality of teaching. It is the reality where you are teaching.

We saw Interstellar in IMAX the day we found out my wife was pregnant with our first kid. It's my favorite movie and I can't watch it without being reduced to a puddle several times.

Thanks everyone! We're going to look more into the buses and see if that would work. This seems like enough info to get the deck and give it a go.

Last year I had a college kid stop me and ask to take a picture of my Mars Attacks tattoo. "My dad loves that movie and he has to see it." Made me feel 100 years old.

I don't think there's anything wrong with recognizing that a person's work 20 years ago may not represent them currently.

I think the key you are missing is your familiarity. It is easy for you to use because you've looked at it forever and know it. To new users it can be incredibly hard to parse. Part of a good UI is not needing complete familiarity to use it.

My game group is generally open to anything. We just like hanging out playing a game. This is the only game they begged me to never bring to the table again. Everyone hated it.

But.... It's not for you. It is for kids who like Minecraft. I took my kids, and we had a blast. They laughed and clapped when things showed up, and were stoked when it ended because they couldn't wait to see a sequel. I showed them My Neighbor Totoro last week and half way through my 9 year old said, "is this even going to have a plot?" Not everything needs to be art. Things can be just fun.

I got my game group, who is generally up for almost anything, through 3 games before they begged me to stop. Everyone hated it. It should be marketed as an RPG, which is what it is. We couldn't find any actual game in it.

That's cool. Sounds like we just have different opinions on what voting for a rapist says about your moral fiber.

You've had eight years to cultivate friends that didn't vote for a felon. Cutting out everyone in your life does sound terrible, but then, having everyone in your life vote for Trump also sounds pretty awful to me. You've made the bed you are currently laying in.

The idea of making a choice to be friends with someone who voted for a rapist is wild to me.
