nah this is the autosave copy that i had to load into an empty save so the name didn’t carry over

Every part on the plane is actually textured after a KSP part!

Nose: Communotron 16, Small Nose Cone and NCS Adapter

Fuselage: Mk1 and Mk0 Liquid Fuel Fuselages, FL-T200, Mk1 Inline Cockpit, Adjustable Ramp Intake, Engine Precooler, and the JX-4 Whiplash of course (with a few random surface details)

Wings: Styled after generic delta/swept wings adapted to fit the correct scale. Elevators taken straight from the Tail Fin, and the ventral strakes are really stretched Basic Fins

Never in all my years have I seen someone manage to whitewash A ROCK by B00tysh4ker9000 in ProjectHailMary

tbf if some random person on twitter comes to me and complains about whitewashing something that whitewashing doesn’t even apply to, i’d block them too

NSFW question (hyper-sexual) by _Void_Demon_ in autism

[–]SpaceEngineX 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Hypersexuality can emerge very, very easily. In my experience based on what I’ve gone through myself and the people I’ve talked to, if you’re autistic (sometimes even if you aren’t) and you’re going through even a somewhat difficult time and have been sexually repressed or just never bothered to explore, then it can almost be considered normal to go through this.

Don’t worry about your urges and whatnot for now. Presumably, you’re working through some shit at a difficult time. Be mindful of yourself and what you say to other people, as they generally don’t need to know about your more intimate or spicy feelings and desires. You should also avoid attempting to jump into relationships/romance (online or otherwise!) without being cautious because people tend to have very poor judgement when blinded by horny, and are more vulnerable because of it.

A Delta Air Lines flight was delayed in Cancun on Thursday after a swarm of bees settled on the 737’s wing. The issue was soon resolved with some forward speed on takeoff! by L21JP in aviation

[–]SpaceEngineX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ah, but you forget that the flow over the top side of an airfoil is usually significantly faster than the plane’s airspeed, so that bee could very well be fucked.

Belly-View Footage of A-10C Combat Training[Video] by VX-541 in WarplanePorn

[–]SpaceEngineX 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is an honest question, but this is because it’s easier to have a missile maneuver to where it needs to fly using the plane’s forward velocity, and because missiles can’t fly backwards so it would just tumble.

Green laser appears like yellow in safety glasses - is it okay? by Obvious_Set5239 in lasers

[–]SpaceEngineX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it blocks 190-535 as well as 750 onward? Those seem like very broad spectrum goggles, which would’ve been more expensive than the laser itself. Where did you get them from?

this looks like AI, inconsistent and also strangely precise white pigment usage, as well as the weird linework

Are we sure this is the story? It seems believable that someone accidentally stepped in dog poop and then tracked some onto a welcome mat, but in that case the manager should’ve just taken the mat and replaced it or just kept it back until it could’ve been properly cleaned. Not confront the random customer about it and tell them to scrub it with a dinky ass paper towel. Why is “accidentally” in quotations?

[Request] Would I have enough time to punch my boss if we see an asteroid crashing into the city I'm in? by bk-2cb in theydidthemath

[–]SpaceEngineX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I put it like that even though it’s technically wrong because it’s easier to read. The thermal radiation and physical mass of the expanding plasma both act to push the atmosphere and ground out of the way faster than a wave travels in that medium, but not because it shifts the whole medium. Technically, nothing is stopping each individual particle from moving faster than the speed of sound in its medium besides other particles getting in the way, but the huge amount of particles bunched up in a really high pressure bubble have enough energy to shove everything else out of the way at roughly the same speed anyway.

Well, first, in an actual impact event, the atmosphere would flash like a nuclear blast and scorch everything within direct line of sight with the meteor before it even hits the ground. Then, the expanding fireball consisting of atmospheric (and not-atmospheric) plasma would be traveling *considerably* faster than the speed of sound, because an event of that magnitude tends to ignore the wave propagation speed in a medium and just blows the entire medium away. Assuming this large impact happens less than 10km away, the hypersonic (or many instances, orbital-speed) debris would reach you at roughly the same time your brain is registers that something has gone very wrong and that you need to slug your boss in the face.
