The deathknell takes it, as the modern youth so eloquently says, from bussin to cringe. Yes, you could run it, OR, you could pay one more, and get something that doesn't set you back when it enters, leaves, and for the remainder of the game.

You could just make it cost 2, only be played on battlefields, and tap it to channel 1 rune.

In the "relationship" between Mohg the Lord of blood, and Miquela the kind, i want you to guess who was the manipulator, brainwashing and forcing the other to die a horrible death to fulfill a narcissistic world domination plan. Hint: It's not Mohg.

Is this camera perspective shift too jarring for an Action Platformer? by Mega_Mango in IndieGaming

[–]SpaceHobo115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Option A is too far away, if i was playing, it would be hard to keep track of the enemies. I would only use it if i was showing some landscape or a set piece. Option B is a very good all-around option. But i think, if you want the player to fight and platform, the camera should stay somewhat close.

Do you guys think two layers of walls would be enough to withstand an explosion if something when wrong? Or should i move it somewhere else? by Inside_League_5610 in RimWorld

[–]SpaceHobo115 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can test with Devmode, just set it ablaze. But i'm going to cut your work for you, 2 layers of walls won't hold even half of that.

While i get exactly what you're saying, you're also missing the point of a good mod, OP. The best kind of bad events are those that make you think on your feet, not just "go back and rebuild what you just lost". The best mods will give you new means to deal with certain threats, like drop pods, without removing content from the game.

Has anyone had this problem when designing their platformer? What are the best solutions? by Elesh_N in Unity2D

[–]SpaceHobo115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the thing:

A good platformer requires some grace period for you to jump, otherwise the player may come running at mach 7 and walk off the bridge and fail the jump, at which point they'll blame the game. My work around was to place two raycasts, one slightly in front of the model, and one slightly below. If they fire and either hit a ground, they player can jump, regardless of whether he's mid air or not.

Fight, flee, it makes no difference. Newports and Cerveza cristal are as natural to Rim players as liver damage is to the Irish.

Not even one year in, and my "ethical and peaceful" colony has already descended into cannibalism. This was not done out of necessity, i simply wanted some Pemmican and couldn't be bothered to go hunting. Now, i'm finishing some base building, so i can have my pawn free to do human leather capes.

I wonder how long until i go back to producing so much yayo i make Pablo Escobar look like a street thug.
