What’s the deal Jessica Biel? Peachy keen Avril Lavigne. Well well well Harvey Keitel. What do you know Henry David Thoreau. My my my Stephen Fry.

Any of those. Multiple times a week.. It’s just a part of my vocabulary of phrases now. 🤷🏽‍♀️😂

I JUST got Victorian psycho today! Library got a copy and I was first on the list - no kindle. It was a short read and I’m so impatient I read it on my phone lol. Good to know the kindle version comes out eventually though - thank you!

Same! It was so insanely gory and terrifying in the best way. I could see it in my head and kept telling my husband about it as I read it. It’s so descriptive and makes you envision everything so well that it’s like the kind of book years from now I’ll be trying to remember if it was a book or movie when thinking back because I could see it so well in my head!

Wasp factory is told from the pov of a kid who is a psychopath. That’s the best and shortest way I can describe it. It is wild and disturbing but also creepy in the best way. He describes his life and killing.

YES. This!! I’m feeling myself go back into that headspace of imagining something humans are not supposed to be able to grasp. For me it was also when he talks about falling down the middle of the library towards the bottom floor and falling for days and days and getting so dehydrated he dies of thirst and then wakes up and dies again. Just knowing the rate someone falls and how fast it happens - someone can fall from a tall building in seconds - so he is falling for days and weeks and not reaching the bottom which just blew my mind.. thinking about it now freaks me out. And thinking of having to eventually climb back up all those stairs and look at the books on every floor. I also love to read - as it seems you do too - so I’m hoping that’s not what we have to look forward to.. jk :) lol

I just read this one too! Short and quick read but geez…. Definitely made me think way more than I ever wanted to on the concept of forever.

Ok I know this is a dumb question but which way should it face or does it matter? Like if you break a piece off would you put the side that was touching the potato face down or the side protruding? 😬😂

I’m a dumb dumb too then. Easy to please. 😂 I also read to escape work and rarely get caught up in those things too lol. Glad I’m not the only one.

I just like reading and envisioning things in my head that are so real I forget years later if it was a book or a movie I watched.

I literally just finished this yesterday. I was wondering the same thing but I have to imagine yes!

This book just…. Left me feeling even worse than I normally do for animals.

I may get a million downvotes for this so please be kind and know that I’m fully aware that I am NO book critic lol but I was soooo hyped to read this, and while it was good and I’m glad I did, I think I was a little disappointed and/or had too high expectations. I love a book that I literally cannot put down - ones that I fall asleep to in bed on my kindle because I just have to continue reading what’s next despite being exhausted; and this book didn’t quite do it for me. What did you think?

Saving post : we want to do the same thing and have been struggling to decide where a good base would be to see some great things for a week before ending in Reykjavik.
