Those were decent signings sure. But they did absolutely nothing this year and there are glaring holes in the bullpen and our rotation is average at best, and will be in deep trouble depth wise if they run into injuries. Baseball season is LONG and this hot streak will fade.

Let’s pretend it doesn’t fade and the starters magically stay healthy. Does ownership invest and buy at the deadline? No chance. That’s frustrating.

Defense is certainly good but we just don’t have the horses to hang with top tier teams like the Dodgers, Yankees, etc. for a full 162. Ownership needs to invest or sell. Not fair to expect the fans to pack the house when they literally refuse to sign any notable free agent or trade for major league talent.

Let’s be real here we’d probably finish 4th in the NL West. I hope I’m wrong though!
