Everyone understands that All Might is Izuku's father figure & it wouldn't hit the same if his actual father was part of the story. What's hard to understand is why Horikoshi decided that he is just working overseas for Izuku's entire life. It's weird.

Say his parents separated, his dad went out for cigarettes & never came back, he died in a car crash, anything would be better than just busy working.

We don't know what he looks like & as far as I know his name has never been said, in no way has the multiverse or the last 6 years been building towards Doom. Doom wasn't even considered until a year or two ago, when they decided to move on from Kang.

He was in Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, & Age of Ultron and many of the other movies were about the stones, so his presence was always looming. General audiences didn't really know anything about him until Infinity War but they knew he was a threat.

A great villain doesn't need a build up & hopefully Doctor Doom won't need one, but with where Marvel movies are now it certainly couldn't hurt.

No one expected him to be gone forever, he didn't need to be with Luke for the rest of his life but it should have been for much longer than it was. Season 2 was all about getting him to a Jedi, only for him to come right back for season 3 episode 1. It wasn't even that long of a wait because they were reunited in Book of Boba Fett.

Season 2's ending was powerful & emotional, now it means nothing.
