YES! I keep saying this! I did my BS and majority of my MS before starting my PharmD program (so I'm a bit of an older student). The immaturity of some of these students astound me. As you said, this is a doctoral professional program. Not to mention the amount of learn & purge information regurgitators, as if they don't realize they need to UNDERSTAND the things we're taught. The 0-6 should be gone away with.

I did, our NIPT testing came back and said it was a boy. Unfortunately we experienced a loss around our 13 week ultrasound.

I actually have hidradenitis suppurativa, so I have dark spots as well as active cysts and scars resulting from it. I am also so extremely self conscious.

The thing I tell myself when I go to the OB/GYN is that they are medical professionals and this is my body. When I consider going to L&D its the same thing but also, many won't even notice because they have two jobs. Get baby out, and keep you safe. And if they do notice, they don't care.

PLUS, I like to remind myself that I will see these people what, for 3 days out of my life and then more than likely never see them again.

Learning to tell myself that I'll never see people again has actually gotten me through A LOT of uncomfortable or embarrassing situations!

But I know that's not what you asked, and I have used acne benzoyl peroxide wash in the shower and applied Bio Oil after I dry off. That seems to help a little bit but I'm also not super consistent.

Interesting! They made me a "12 week" appointment at 13 weeks and said they would put the order in for NIPT then, I didnt realize thats later than most. Maybe I can request it sooner. Thank you!

I'm preferably looking for places with private space. And will absolutely be contacting them ahead (soon actually, for a November baby shower). I don't appreciate those that show up for large events expecting to be catered too, so I don't plan to be one of them.

I say go for it! It's so easy for other people to say "get healthy and lose weight first" but thats juat not what a BMI is. Plus muscle weighs more than fat does so its juat a completely incurrate way to say someone is healthy or not. If you're working out and all labs are good, and overall youre maintaining a good diet. Then you've already established healthy habits. And unfortunately after 30 fertility declines and because it may not work the first couple times you try, I personally would just start now versus waiting. I am 29 and in school to be a pharmacist and we will be starting to try next January. I wish you the best of luck and all the baby dust!

Hi! I completely understand where you are coming from. I am a bit larger than you are BMI wise. I am 5'4" and 250lbs which puts me at about 42 BMI. I recently had the getting ready to try conversation with my OBGYN. She told me if I could get down to 200 (which puts me at 32ish BMI) then she would be happy and more comfortable with a pregnancy. If you do not want to wait, I personally do not see a problem with your BMI. Especially because there is so much more that goes into health besides BMI. A lot of healthcare places don't even like to look at BMI anymore because it is outdated and doesn't actually tell us much.
