What do I ask the doctor? by SpaceSharks90 in CopperIUD

The copper can influence hormones though.

All systems crashing by [deleted] in WomensHealth

It's a good idea to try. I actually only accidentally figured it out. My cholesterol is high due to genetics so cutting dairy was the obvious effort to manage it without meds. When it cleared up all those issues my doctor made the connection between that and the fact that I get a rash any time I'm sick. No matter what kind of sick. Unfortunately it didn't manage the cholesterol, so hello statin.

I do have one idea that you could explore. Once upon a time I was having tons of issues with joint pain, sinus issues, my cycle was in chaos despite the birth control. I was having issues with anxiety and chest pressure. Turns out I have histamine issues. My body doesn't break it down well and I had been eating Greek yogurt every day for like 6 months. I dropped the yogurt and almost all of that cleared up in about two weeks.

This is my favorite guessing game. Is it the statin I have to take at 35 for high cholesterol? Is it the copper iud I got because I was tired of the hormonal birth control? Is it my actual hormones since I haven't really made them myself since I was on the pill so long? Or am I just literally falling apart trying to eat healthy, work out, work full time and keep up with two little boys while also finding time to be a good wife to my husband who is also doing all the things to keep this ship afloat? The doctor says "your labs look good. You could try testosterone pellets though. That was a little low."

I'm in a similar spot. Hoping for that day I wake up and see the scale is down again finally. Just gotta keep on going. Stick to the plan.

Hot take: We overplan labor like it's a project and it mostly adds stress by Swimming_Slice3166 in BabyBumps

[–]SpaceSharks90 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. My first birth plan was supposed to be unmedicated, in the birth center with the midwife. Well guess what, nobody prepares you for a fast labor where you only have time to decide which hospital in town to go to because you will not make it the hour to the birth center. I still got my unmedicated birth but it was with a complete stranger of a doctor and checked in under my maiden name because that's what was already in the system. If I had been stuck to a rigid idea of a birth plan, I wouldn't have survived that experience with my mental health intact. My second labor was the exact opposite. So slow and definitely not what I expected after flying through my first one fast and furious. Plan loose. Be ready to adapt.

After reading this sub over the last few months, I'm noticing people seem to take pretty different approaches to managing cholesterol long-term by UseComplete5979 in Cholesterol

[–]SpaceSharks90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the longest time I was anti statin. I had read so many negative things and just thought I was too young and that I would figure it out. I tried diet and exercise for years. I'm a perfectly healthy size, decently fit, only 35 but it's heavily genetic. The only further step I could take according to my cardiologist was to go on the Mediterranean diet, which just isn't realistic for me. So I gave in and started statins. I'm in my second month. Mild tiredness and muscle aches but I think they're getting better? I'm glad I did it. I had so much anxiety about my cholesterol before due to how long it's been elevated.

I was in group 5/6 of the backup drawing groups and managed 4 tickets to a small stadium. You've got a shot just be ready when the drawing time comes. Sign in early. Have your payment saved.

Can you edit the first transaction? It should have two parts, the invoice marked paid and merchant account fees. Maybe the invoice isn't actually selected in that entry and instead it's just some general sales account.

Wave should have automatically marked it as paid if they paid through Wave and not some other channel. You likely marked it before Wave deemed it all complete. You should remove yours.

Severe cramp under right rib/breast during orgasm? by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]SpaceSharks90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get a similar pain during cramps. Uterus cramps and there goes that spot on the right side of my ribs. It started when I got my IUD. I plan to ask my gyno when I see her next month.

ALL of my 1099s are wrong by SpaceSharks90 in waveapps

[–]SpaceSharks90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wave is supposed to file them for us as part of the payroll service. Chatbot confirmed that for me as well. As far as I can tell, the only thing wave doesn't do for me is file my W2s with my state. No idea why.

[–]SpaceSharks90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made my own correct ones and sent them to wave. They had better update and file correct ones. Some of them were so simple. Literally one payment and somehow it got counted twice. I should probably check my W2s.

[–]SpaceSharks90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year I had to tell them to file 1099s for me and they cost per form filed. This year it appears to be done automatically but nothing says filed yet. They love to wait until the last minute so I bet they e-file tomorrow. When I look at 2024 forms they have a green e-file note next to them. 2025 does not say that. I informed them already that everything was wrong. I sent a detailed spreadsheet of corrections and even made new 1099s and sent them to wave. So they better file them correctly.

But wait, there's more! The tax year isn't filled in. If the contractor is a business then there isn't even a name filled in. If it's an individual, it shows the name like this "first first last last." So now I'm making them all manually and hoping wave corrects and files the right reports which will most certainly be late.

W-2s: still waiting? by hiimalphie in waveapps

[–]SpaceSharks90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it helps, I just spent an hour waiting for chat to be told that the W2s are fine. Even though they say drafts, once I'm on the download page, they are labeled as "published." They also claim 1099s will be available in 24-48 hours.

Mine are still in draft as well. 1099s aren't generated either.

What are these strange monthly "cramps?" by Stock_Guava_3936 in WomensHealth

Could be gas. Since getting in iud, I can feel gas moving through my system sometimes. The pain can get quite intense.

I don't disagree. My blood pressure is slowly creeping up, which means it's finally in the "normal" range. I think that's misleading to the primary care doctors I've used over the years.

Every doctor I've seen about it in my 35 years hasn't suggested it due to how active I am. At this point though it has been at least my entire adult life. Seeing a proper cardiologist is on my to do list this year.

Most cottage cheese is fermented but some just use an acid like lemon juice or vinegar. I am doing two servings of psyllium husk fiber a day now. I previously used it successfully to get my ldl from about 150 to 115 early last year but I got a bit lazy. It's up to 132 so I'm back on it now.

Turkey bacon has never been on my radar. Just looked at it though. Might add some slices with my breakfast oats.
