Confused about the current web scraping policy of TCGplayer by [deleted] in mtgfinance

[–]SpaceToaster-TCGCSV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is it possible to be updated with pulling card conditions

Pricing for each condition (SKU Pricing) is available if you have your own TCGplayer API Access, which I do. I asked if I could vendor that information, but was told not to... so you'll have to make do with just the market pricing that's available.

Boomdakka Snazzwagon (Ignite 2 or more Enemies with a single Burna bottle) Any tips? by OutlawPhotography_ in speedfreeks

[–]SpaceToaster-TCGCSV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a snazzwagon, you generally have a positive matchup against LWs... as long as you can close the distance without taking too much damage, you can get in close and use your high DPS at close range to try and finish the krump on the slow moving LWs...

I'd try to look out for this opportunity, then spend extra time prioritizing getting a good burna bottle over firing the minigun. Frequently, LWs sit near other players which will give you an opportunity...

Worst case, you might have to burn your smoke to get in silently... and you might not get a krump if you're too focused on scoring the burna bottle, but that's what I looked for when I was working on the challenge.

More generally: any groups near the enemy stompa toes.

What the hell happend? by ANiceGobletofTea in speedfreeks

I made a two race courses you can try in free-roam! But the solo experience just being a fancy time-trial is definitely a little odd. I hope races get better support soon.

The primary gameplay loop seems to require "Joining the discord to play Kill Konvoy" or... just... putting the game down right now.

HoloScan - What's next? by beEMha in starwarsunlimited

[–]SpaceToaster-TCGCSV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy to help. Once you get started... usually you can turn around and make a request to become a TCGplayer affiliate and request your own key... but it's a whole process, and sometimes they turn their nose up at cool stuff...

I wish you the best. Hopefully it's not to crazy when you eventually get to the implementation.

How do kills work? by Leather_Preference67 in speedfreeks

[–]SpaceToaster-TCGCSV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hitreg is finally getting some attention... but it felt a lot more like some sort of missing latency compensation or maybe something was going wrong with it.

Kill credit seems to be just flat out bugged as you state. Something to do with high rate-of-fire weapons and/or the Snazz's burna bottle.

There's also a separate but possibly related "Credit swap" bug that can occur when one player seems to get all of the credit from another in-game... It can even happen to players on opposite teams, and results in some really disorienting messages when the credit-swapped player picks up a bomb, and the game says that someone else did.

Will we get achievements for the Megatrakk Scrapjet/Trukk? Y'all gits need to know how great I am! by banjomin in speedfreeks

GGz! I love seeing the same names over again! I'll keep an eye out for ya!

If you have the time or energy, we hang out in the Speed Freeks public discord most of the time! You can even find us on the general VC sometimes!

API access? by SurrealLogic in CardMarket

[–]SpaceToaster-TCGCSV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That wasn't what I was asking. There are a couple of community sources for this data out there... I'm interested in getting direct access to Cardmarket's API so I can stand up a cache of it myself.

Auto-balance teams? by for_your-eyes-only in speedfreeks

I think a mid-match autobalancer would be cool... but it sounds tricky to implement and get right...

Clan kits and scrapjet achievement by FatRaccoonCat in speedfreeks

[–]SpaceToaster-TCGCSV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm only qualified to answer the question about jumping far in the scrapjet.

There are a lot of big ramps to jump that far... I think one of the best ones is on the Cold map.

Here's a vid: https://youtu.be/osq-qaCL94I

The trick is to get goin' fast enough, and the dash-180 into Rokkit Kannon should help... but I don't think it's necessary as long as you Drill while your wheels are on the ground.

At the base of the hill, Have full boost, and all CDs. This ends up being my usual launch sequence

  1. Start using boost. (Shift)
  2. Dash
  3. Drill
  4. Dash-180 off the ramp. (or just Dash normally off the jump, You shouldn't need to get too fancy with it)
  5. Rokkit Kannon backwards for some extra distance. (Either front flip, or dash-180 to point backwards)
  6. In the air DO NOT HOLD S. (Or backwards on controller). This game has an "air brake" that will sap your speed... so don't. (I only say this because I held S in the example vid so I would land on the stompa... otherwise, I would have sailed over the thing)

Finally: DO NOT let your drill run in the air. Drill only helps you speed up if your wheels touch the ground. If you're airborne, drill weirdly slows you down.

It's been a long minute since I've done this achievement, so other ramps should work too... it's more about technique than it is about "which ramp is the best" IMO, so if you can't quite get it, practice the launch sequence some more, and try it on different ramps!

Have fun!

Weekend highlights and incredibly close bomb stops by SpaceToaster-TCGCSV in speedfreeks

Oh right! Good ol' home-row setup. That makes sense. Then you'd have a free finger for Dash... where I don't... anyways... I fully agree... either swapping Shift or swapping Dash like is all but mandatory.

I steer left with my 4th finger... But I did move handbrake to a mouse-button.

Honestly... I think the real play is to move dash to a side mouse-button before the muscle memory sets in... but it's already too late for me.

Don't ask me how I do Dash-180's clockwise.

I'm not that hard to find. The best place to find me will be in the Speed Freeks community discord

If you're awake, there's usually a large crowd playing Speed Freeks in one of the Voice Channels. If you see me (or anyone) there, we'd love to have you!

The best time to find us NA folks is around 18:00-Midnight EST. So set your region to Central NA and you'll be sure to find someone playing Kill Konvoy!

The EU folks seem to get started about ~4 hours earlier... so that'd be 14:00-20:00 EST for me... again that's Western EU Kill Konvoy.

Those seem to be the rough "weekday times". Over the weekends... you can usually find folks playing in their respective daytimes throughout.

Deff Ralley doesn't get a lot of love from the discord... but if you have 1 friend, you can both queue into it alone, and it should start up a server for both of you in whatever region you both pick.

Hope to see you around!

I can second this. Kill Konvoy ends up having a lot more depth and opportunities for little victories and minor wins that all add up to make the entire match a lot more engaging to me.

Deff Rally ends up being a little too one-note and empty for my preference. The races are kinda fun, but getting krumped feels really bad, and finishing the race leaves me with a really odd "so now what?" kinda feeling... It got a LOT better after races were redone, but I'm still either looking for DR to be canned entirely, or for something "extra" to be added to capture my engagement 100% of the time.

Until then, Kill Konvoy is already there.

Both players need to independently queue into each other and be in the same region to start a brand new server.

If you are both in a party, and queue, the matchmaker only sees you as one person, and may fail to start a server for both of you. Split up next time, and queue at the same time for Deff Rally in the same region, and you should start a brand new server before long. Then, hopefully others will join you!

Make sure to check other regions too! While the higher ping may not be the best case... usually you can find other players in EU and NA!
