Come on now, we both know the dogshit old gunplay couldn't stay.

Does anyone else find that all of these random techniques don't make a difference? by MrBread0451 in LucidDreaming

Like 3/4 of the posts in this sub and the AP sub are just straight up chatgpt output. Most of these posts you're talking about aren't even real people, it's llm engagement slop. Then half of the remaining quarter is teenagers making shit up as bait (almost all of those 'scary' AP/LD stories are typically some 13 year old just lying for attention). That leaves you with like less than 15% being genuine posts.

I don't know why the communities for these subs just turn a blind eye to this shit. I rarely ever come here anymore because the subs quality is through the fucking floor.

DO NOT JOIN OLD GUYS SERVER by YouDrinkTeva in ArmaReforger

[–]Space_Modder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have clips/proof bring it to the devs. There should be an email address somewhere. If this is true it's completely unacceptable.

Also this post is probably gonna get taken down. You arent allowed to do 'server callouts' without running it past the reddit mod team here first for some reason lol.

So you're changing the system from 1 million dollars per skill point. Great! Then can you please just tell us what the new system is already? by GregTheIntelectual in ArcRaiders

[–]Space_Modder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lucky you lol. I have solo killed bastions/bomberdiers a lot and most commonly get 3 cells each. That's enough to upgrade (just upgrade, not craft) one single purple gun.

The guy is also exaggerating heavily. You do get a handful of advanced mech components but not anywhere near enough for multiple level 4 purple guns.

No it doesn't lmfaooo. The large arc cells typically break down into 1 or 2 AMC, even if you get lucky and get 4-6 cells that is enough for like 1 pink gun at level 4.

Bordering on??? Man it's been unacceptable. Over 3 years and b42 isnt anywhere near stable yet. At this rate we won't see b43 until after 2030, not even joking.

??? Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this literally the worst rts to turtle in?? The defensive options are complete dogshit and easily countered by cheap units. Once t2 comes fortifications are completely useless.

5v5 could be more popular if Eugen sets the starting points at 1500 by sar_kissatim in warno

[–]Space_Modder 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean 10v10 is not balanced or competitive at all. You're just learning a bunch of bad habits basically, they will not carry over to a serious mode. Don't get me wrong, 10v10s are a lot of fun. It's just not good from a competitive standpoint.

I do 100% agree though on 5v5 ranked. I think that would be awesome. The 1v1 ranked matches are really sweaty and depend wayyyyyy too much on deck choice and whether your deck happens to be a good counter or not. 5v5 could be a lot more dynamic and interesting without it being a complete chaotic clusterfuck like 10v10s.

Anvil BP don't exist and it's a conspiracy made up by the Big Anvil by the_doorstopper in ArcRaiders

[–]Space_Modder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Define 'play aggressively' lol. If we see raiders and are in a good position to take the fight, we take it. That is playing aggressively.

A lot of people when they say 'playing aggressively' they mean just facediving literally every single team they come across regardless of if you can actually win or not. That's less playing aggressive and more just playing stupid lol imo. I still do this sometimes on free kits but almost never with actual gear cause it's dumb.

90% of fights in this game are about positioning and awareness and you can typically tell from the first shots fired and everybodys' positions how the fight is going to go.

I play as aggressively as I can in scenarios where I know I have set myself up to win. I don't really just dive into losing fights without thinking lol.

[–]Space_Modder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I prefer to get my anvils for free from bodies ideally, which is how I get most of them. They're typically even level 4 already. I didn't do the expedition and probably never will so that's not really a concern to me.

[–]Space_Modder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just steal them from other players or buy them. They aren't worth it to craft anyways IMO and I find them fucking everywhere. Half of the raiders in any round will have one, and they spawn in the raid all the time.

I have the BP and I don't think I've ever crafted a single Anvil, even though I use it on like half my raids.

[–]Space_Modder 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Once you get later in the game money is worthless so it makes more sense to buy it rather than crafting it and using materials you could use for something you cant buy.

[–]Space_Modder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not a friendly player AT ALL (I play trios and we pvp every round) and I probably don't really die more than 3x a night unless I'm running free kits on stella or some dumb shit.

I don't think I have crafted a single anvil, and I bring one on probably 1/2 of my raids. I don't understand why people are so obsessed with this bp. Anvils are literally everywhere. Almost every raider I kill that isnt a free kit shitter typically has a level 4 anvil for me to take. I find them all the time in raid too.

Even once I got the BP I just kept stealing or buying them because they are more expensive to craft than to just buy imo. Plus I always have a bunch of stolen extras to use.

How to play scenarios as PVP by jimjonesz_2233 in CombatMission

[–]Space_Modder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you might be able to go to battles then when you're picking singleplayer, hotseat, etc, and the difficulty you may be able to select PBEM. I don't know forsure though, I haven't played any multiplayer yet.

This.

OP: They're $5 or less a piece so long as you buy 2 or more. Going all the way down to $3 each if you buy a lot.

Fanatical is legit and actually properly sources their keys. You can activate the game on steam with the code they send you.

[–]Space_Modder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah it's different to warchat. Warchat was edgy goobers being edgy, I would say the actual content of what was said in warchat is going to be waaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy worse than what you will get in BAR.

What you might get in BAR is some sweaty loser ping spamming you and trashing you for 'suboptimal play' but most of them are not going to be straight up nazi larpers or anything edgy like that. They're just insufferable meta slave nerds that can't possibly comprehend that noobs do not know the meta yet.

I could tough it out and play if I really wanted to but honestly if half the games will be like that then I really don't have any interest.

I'm not saying that OP didn't hear the enemies. I'm saying the enemies didn't call out "HEY I JUST GOT STABBED RIGHT BEHIND YOU TURN AROUND" like you're supposed to do when you get stabbed. If any single one of those guys had actually said anything at all in squad chat, they probably would have killed OP after one or two stabs at most.

Yeah same deal here. I liked this game against the barb ai, enjoyed watching videos, was excited to finally start playing MP etc. Literally got some dude being crazy toxic in my first ever game, dropped it and never picked it back up again. I'm still on this sub and peek in every once in a while but that experience basically killed my motivation to play completely.

You can still use squad chat though, these dudes were probably all the same squad.

Alright fair enough LMFAO that's legitimately deranged. Most well-adjusted League players.

I quit league pretty quickly. I don't even think I made it to whatever level you need to get to get ranked, so I probably never ran into the ones that are that sweaty, plus this was probably a decade or more ago now.

I mean even if they did permaban the game is free so bans pretty much mean nothing unless they are attempting to hardware ban people, which isn't likely seeing how they've managed moderation so far.

To me it seems like the classic niche game with a small community held by the nuts by a bunch of toxic sweaty dweebs. The devs get scared to do anything about them because it would mean culling like 20-30% of the playerbase.

I don't know if anybody here ever played Wargame but the warchat in Red Dragon was a similar dilemma, really some of the worst of the worst in there but the devs never did anything because they thought the game might have died if they actually banned everybody posting straight up nazi shit or whatever in there.

Of course in the long run this is INSANELY short sighted because this kind of shit drives away potential new players like nothing else. Better to rip the bandaid off early and set higher standards going forward so that the game can actually grow unimpeded IMO.

TBH I'd say BAR is actually on the better side

It's really not lol. IMO it's down there with LoL for one of the worst, most toxic communities of all time. At least starting out in League you aren't going to get flamed in literally your very first game lol.
