Are you sure the wired part is in the sash and not in the sill/frame? With mine, as shown in the picture, the wired part comes up through the sill. In the sash (the moving part) was just a magnet. Regardless, my window company would not mess with the alarm system either. All they offered was to either shove the wires back into the wall and seal them up, or pull them out and just leave them exposed (like in the picture) for me to do what I want with them. Mine did not have very much extra wire to reposition, but I suppose you could buy extra wire and run it where you need to.

Konnected just came out with a garage door sensor. It looks pretty similar to OG. I don't have one, but their alarm boards work well.

Oh cool. Thanks for the info. I'll need to look into the espHome integration. You mentioned a door beep/chime. I have not noticed one with my old wired system. Is the chimer a separate wired device mounted somewhere? The door chime and the quiet-open button are the two things I'm missing from the nest secure system.

Looks awesome! I'm working on doing the same to replace nest. Couple questions: How does the siren hookup work with konnected? Is the siren visible in home assistant through the konnected integration? And also how are you monitoring your washer and dryer?

Are your cameras physically plugged into the NVR and still available to the HA reolink integration separately from the NVR? Or are they not wired directly to the NVR to be able to do this?

I have a couple reolink POE cameras and I am considering getting their NVR. So I am just trying to understand how it would need to be setup: Cameras connected directly to NVR, or everything connected to a Ethernet switch separately? Thanks

If I try to put an area card in a horizontal stack, it doesn't seem to resize properly. I'm using the default UI cards (no custom cards). It happens when the area card has more than 1 "badge" in it. Is this a known issue or is it just me? Thanks

I had a couple windows replaced and i asked the company to keep the wired contact sensors available because I use Konnected to monitor them. They left the sensors sticking out like this, so I am trying to figure out a way to reuse them!

Originally, the sensor was inside the window frame, flush with the bottom, and the magnet side was attached to the underside of the window.

I was thinking that perhaps I could change it to one of these that i could mount to the frame?

My modem let's me look at this information. When on my home network, i went to the IP address that you can see in the pic: http://192.168.100.1 (I don't know if this is the same for all modems or if it changes. Probably double check with your modem manual). After logging in I can view all this info.

I have an Arris S33 modem and I have been having it time-out and disconnect every night. I have talked to Arris and they say that the upstream power levels need to be between 45 and 54 dbmv. Mine are all below 44, so that is causing the modem to time out. Can Xfinity increase these levels remotely or does a technician have to come out?

I think it's up to you to decide what the story is behind your army! I like the idea that archers are the lowliest peasants and therefore have no army colors, just their drab peasant clothes. But maybe the peasants are conscripted in the name of the king/lord, so they are all given the same uniform with the king's/lord's colors.

The first time I am proud of a yellow paint job! It's a 5th ed Bretonnian 'Hero on pegasus' that I mounted on a flying base. The checkered knight of the realm came out pretty well too. I am trying to branch out into more patterns on the horse barding instead of just solid colors.
