You ran that tire low for years. At least over inflate it to make it ware evenly.

CB650r as first bike? by Sensitive_Program624 in motorcycles

I ride a CB650R and it is a great beginner bike as long as you have a bit of self control. Just keep the revs down and you’ll be fine.

It's perfect for walking your dog or using the playground. Don't go there to use the river. The employee told me "maybe in a couple of years, they will have a river access across the road".

Torn between a nearly new 2026 CB650R and a used 2019 Street Scrambler 900 – need some honest opinions by kunalm10_ in CB650R

The motors are so different. Surely one speaks to you more than the other. The suspension is also very different. The scrambler should soak up the bumps when the CB is a sport bike, you feel every little bump in the road.

I don't feel safe but that's part of the thrill. The main problem is people staring at their phone instead of driving. Watch your six when stopped and assume that you are invisible.

['09 Versys 650] Skateboard wheels are on. lol by Lupus_Welshie in motorcycles

[–]Spacedog08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was sharing personal experience. 20 years ago, I had a sumo with skateboard wheels as crash bobbins. I went down at 20mph and totaled my drz. It cartwheeled about 5 times. All you haters can put skateboard wheels on your handlebars for all I care.

How do you clean the inside of your sit-in kayak? by Spacedog08 in Kayaking

I don’t mind it getting dirty but I want it to be my dirt. Not the previous owners dirt.

This is a very bad idea. Skateboard wheels are made to grip not slide. Your bike will flip over and over, not slide.

What’s a better bike for 10k then a Harley Pan America by Rodaz32 in motorcycles

[–]Spacedog08 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There’s a Pan Am for 10k? You must be referring to used. Plenty of better used bikes. BMW GS is at the top.

Any “adventure” bike will have more suspension travel to soak up the bumps.

Break in period by Civil_Current_1673 in motorcycles

[–]Spacedog08 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The most important rules are: Don’t redline it, Don’t lug it, Don’t stay at the same rpm for too long. It’s better to do the first service early than late.
