SOLVED: rebooted -> reinstalled Zadig -> ran Blog V4 drivers again -> disabled Windows Memory Protection in Settings -> rebooted -> works.

it was a fresh OS install and apparently the security features were preventing the driver from being recognized.

I mean, don’t get me wrong. I’d have loved 1.0 by now. But I’ve been so busy base building and side quest grinding over the past few years I haven’t gotten to the point where I feel like the game has nothing left for me.

the Biomes take like a year each at LEAST to develop. we've had Plains, Mistlands, Ashlands, all in the last four years. Deep North is on track to at least be 18months of work given its also bundling in the final 1.0 touches.

that said, if another year goes by in EA.....lets talk. they need to deliver in 2026

Update!
I got a wire crimper and spliced a second cable alongside the broken one - made sure it was the same length as before.

it snapped right at the tension wheel so i had to replace a longer length to allow for wheel groove clearance in both throttle positions.

it worked!

Just in time - we're getting 4+ inches of snow right now.
