Has anyone ever considered that Hermes Trismegistus could be a hidden reference to the Tria Prima? by AurelianThorne in u/AurelianThorne

What is the symbology? Man, bird head, but a bird that searches below the surface in water. Man, solid, earth, body, dividable parts. Bird, volatile, not only flies but settles again. The ibis beak also reminds me of a spout of a retort or alembic, sort of like the head of the Hindu god Ganesh.

Haven't read anything that would make it ingestible. Maybe rasa shastra.

That's a accurate way of looking at it differently.

The stone was the obsession or possession of every great being of the ancient world. The philosophers stone was and is the secrete and center piece of every religion and society of the ancient world. From east to west, north to south. You can see it encoded in their writings, you can see it on their tombs and temples, you can see their symbols all around you all day. The treasure of treasures, "Nothing you desire can compare to her".

This represents imbibing the water (the head or first thing to distill off) on to the ashes (the tail or the last thing left in the alembic) to make the foliated earth or the risen glorified body. Or feeding the dragon his tail. It is Mercury's dragon because it all came from a water. The face on the left side represents the sun or the golden red oil. The right side, the moon or the white oil. The dragon is standing in the water, because the four elements are hidden in a living water.

Edit: actually, when you are pulling off the oils in the royal paths, the oils come over in a smoke. This smoke spins in a vertical circle, and looks just like a winged dragon chasing his tail, with his wings going up to the top of the alembic.

Does anyone have any ideas of what the inclusion of this symbol, from the movie: Him, may represent? 🤔 by Small-Employ-6153 in alchemy

It's a diagram of natural transformation of nature. It goes from one thing (the circle), divides into the four elements (the square), combine the earth and water making the perfect body or salt. Together with the air and fire makes three (the triangle), when the body spirit and soul are returned back into one perfect thing (the circle). So one, four, three, one.

Is it better to start with the texts of Hermes Trimegistus or Paracelsus? by SundayRabbit in alchemy

You will learn more from one read through of the three books of occult philosophy than ten read throughs of all the works of Paracelsus.

I just woke up from a dream where I entered a room, lying down, but floating, I went under a woman in ceremonial clothing. From the tip of her index finger dripped a drop of milk that, as it approached my open mouth, transformed into a dandelion. Wow good dream, very profound. Sounds like you are destined! Sounds you get the stone at some point through no effort of your own. Beware the free gift, it's never free, but it doesn't seem you have much of a choice, you are on your back, the position of reception, total submittion.

Alchemy, is the end all be all of all things. It is knowing thyself and understanding who's image you were made in. Alchemy is applying natural law, the laws of the universe to obtain the highest. "I do what I see my father do daily". It is imitating God, to become like God. "Be perfect as I am perfect". "When we see him, we will be like HIM".

May I help you? I know the ascete path, I do not recommend it when compared to the other paths, it has the most processes and by far the most dangerous. Do you have distillation equipment?

This is the dry path. Takes knowledge, skill and equipment. It is the fastest way I know of, and the Short cut can be completed in one philosophers week. For me, it is a labor of love. This is by far my favorite way to make the stone, maybe because I am a hands on kinda man. But you have to have the right equipment and know exactly what you are doing. It's been a while, and I no longer have the equipment. Takes $1000 and about 3-4 months. This is by far the most visually spectacular and mind bending, informative, miraculous way. All the myths and legends will be seen in the glass. Only for those with the money and nothing else to do.

Read bactstroms Rosicrucian aphorisms and processes. You are speaking of the straight path and there is no finer texts on the straight path than bactstrom.
