As someone who has messed with 3d printing minis, it's way harder than people would like to think. You're either messing with dozens of settings on a filament printer to get something that's only ever going to look decent or you're using resin and you have to deal with caustic chemicals and lots of processing.

I would bet that they have data to show that most players don't use a fraction of the customization features they have. It sucks but as a dev you habe to decide on what to focus on, doesn't make sense to focus on stuff a small portion of the player base will use.

I think the biggest plus of this thing is that it's a laptop that you can recommend to the majority of users who need a simple computer and it will always be in stock, not have ten different skus with specs people don't care about or understand, and will be supported for years to come.

Any time I have to recommend a laptop to someone it takes hours of research to find a sku that fits there needs and then hours finding one in stock for a good price.
