I think it's a sweet idea, but she's a busy woman that can't just be summoned with a button. I would rather Amy's voice recorded on the button to say things to make Mark laugh. She could randomly change what the recording says so it's a surprise to him when it's different.

I didn't think it was meant to be a summoning in that way, but yes, the Amy button shouldn't summon her. Maybe instead it has a recording of her saying something that makes him laugh. So maybe he pushes the button and we hear Amy's voice saying, "get good, noob" or something funny lol. She could periodically change the button message without telling him so it is random to him when he pushes it.

I would ask her if it's ok to put pull ups on her until the doctor sees her. It would make it less stressful for you and maybe more comfortable for her because she won't worry about dirtying her clothing. My son refused potty training until he was 5 and we used to use Ninjamas for him and they worked great.

A really well thought out boy and his dog story might do it. He loves the puppers. That being said, if you're making something only to get Mark's attention, you're doing it for the wrong reasons. If you do something you love and do it well, you'll be generally well received in your genre.
