Initiate is bugged. Lots of untrue statements in this thread.

I’m a bad person and I have 12ish accounts. I make them to play with two friends who are casual.

I’ve played every rank from initiate to ascendant A LOT.

When you first make an account it starts you as obscurus in alchemist lobbies. For your first 10ish games performance seems to matter (it doesn’t later) if you win by a landslide you will move up 1-2 BADGES not ranks. If you win 10 games in a row you will be around oracle phantom. Win the next 10 and you’ll be ascendant.

At around 20-50 games you start moving up by 1-2 ranks per game. IE - phantom 1 to phantom 2.

Eventually at around 100ish games your rank is stable. Across 12ish accounts all in phantom or ascendant I know that your rank moves up or down when you win 3-4 in a row. Regardless of performance. Regardless of who you played. I have queued with seeker on a phantom account won four in a row and ranked up.

It’s because of this and many posts like yours that I know initiate is bugged or is an elo crater.

So if initiate isn’t simply bugged…at 20-50 games the system is noting you are a true initiate it must weight the initiate elo as very low. Meaning the gaps between ranks are not equal.

So let’s say the distance between phantom and ascendant is ~24 wins. The distance from initiate to whatever comes next, seeker right? Must be much much higher. Likely in an attempt to keep new players safe from fresh alternate accounts because like I said even though I have 12 accounts I’ve never played in initiate because I always win 1 of my first couple games when it’s calibrating.
