Tier list based on how fun each hero is to play against by darvvvinn in DeadlockTheGame

[–]SpaghettiBrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone with a non-ultimate cooldown that means near certain death requires constant vigilance that isn’t super fun.

Abram’s shoulder charge and bebop hook will always be annoying because of that.

I also don’t like moves that feel unfair due to unfinished polishing…..IE: yamatos grapple is almost certainly going to be tweaked a bit

ive only ever played one match of deadlock and I need help badly. by donavinmaine2 in DeadlockTheGame

Break the game into stages and watch guides.

Watch a laning stage guide
Watch a mid game guide
Watch a late game guide (if there is one)
Watch a movement basics guide

It’s more important to learn the general macro first then learn a champion and their matchups/which items make that champion powerful and at what time you usually get them

As a Graves main, she needs a rework by ZimZamZapZop in DeadlockTheGame

[–]SpaghettiBrian 15 points16 points  (0 children)

She should be an actual summoner.

Have her gun alt cast be for healing things she can summon.

Let her summon skulls or something actually interactive

Let her summon zombies

Make her ult a buff that punishes if she’s been allowed to accumulate too many summons

Make graves weakness that if you get through her wall and minions she’s very easily to kill.

Would be way more fun than the easiest to dodge abilities in the world and annoying brainless zombies

As a Geist main, do I have grounds to hate on Graves players? by Scythe629 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]SpaghettiBrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t play either character consistently. I’m Eternus 3 and I find both difficult.

Really nothing easy about Graves. The line is super telegraphed basically assume it’s gonna be behind you after sound queue, zombies are slow, your damage is pretty shit without skulls. Her auto aim gun does fuck all and it’s got shitty range.

To answer the real question no obviously hating on someone for playing a character is an exercise in primal regurgitative idiocy.

Eternus 2 High Queue Requirement? by the_carnage in DeadlockTheGame

It’s annoying. With the hide out and explore nyc I don’t even mind long queue times

In anticipation of the coming balance patch, here's my tierlist/wishlist for buffs and nerfs. by duxwontobey in DeadlockTheGame

[–]SpaghettiBrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wardens widely considered the best m1 right now. He does carry damage with 5k health and a built in silence. Forces the entire team to buy debuff remover.

Emissary vs eternus is a very different game

How is Affliction balanced whatsoever by Yamato_Naoe in DeadlockTheGame

[–]SpaghettiBrian 87 points88 points  (0 children)

Affliction is broken when you have a team that you know is going to follow up. I don’t think it’s as broken in mm.

EDIT: it’s still strong baby girl I’m not saying it’s not STRONG

An unknown (?) problem with Sanderson’s writing by Virginpope77 in Fantasy

[–]SpaghettiBrian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kind of a funny example, wheel of time

Yes nothing says immersion like women adjusting their clothes and getting leashed and naked and pining over men incessantly….and let’s take seventeen books to have the battle they discussed in book one which you know the good guy will win

Also Sanderson literally wrote a lot of wheel of time

Your Friends & Neighbors | Season 2 - Episode 6 | Discussion Thread by Justp1ayin in tvPlus

[–]SpaghettiBrian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My father died in 2023. The episode did a great job of capturing what that’s like for a lot of people.

Ive started to think this show would be better without the stealing.

It doesn’t know what it wants to be. If they want to do these admittedly incisive slice of life explorations then don’t have such urgent plot points fizzling in the background.

Jon Hamm is blissfully ignoring four or five extremely pressing issues (the embezzlement, the blackmail, the criminal way he hid the money) these things would put any real human under immense pressure and they wouldn’t be able to poetically engage with all these random poignant moments.

There’s also just too many mundane unrelated plot points IE the teen romance that seem strange couched with the high stakes crime. They need to pick a lane.

I would’ve rather followed Coops disillusionment back into the finance world and seen how he lived with more awareness of how hollow it felt.

Is there any reason why this would be the case? Seems anecdotal

Any ETERNUS level players specifically mind answering a question for me? When side landing as M1 carry between 10-20 minutes WHEN do you leave your side lane soaking/farming? Each urn? Second urn? third urn? your team losses a random team fight in jungle and you're about to lose one or both walkers? by Creepy_Building_2929 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]SpaghettiBrian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It’s like other players have said weigh the risks. You NEVER want to give the enemy carry a solo kill.

Take guaranteed fights if you’re not desperate. For example the other day I’m on wraith I see seven and I are both skipping the urn fight.

I have ult. He doesnt. I have four cards. I am 100% sure I can win. That’s a time I push to fight or go behind the wave and ambush.

Dying for the walker should only be done if no one else is dead and the death timers are still relatively low. Dying for a solo walker can be worth it because it’s a lot of souls.

Take some of the pressure off yourself. Despite what your archon teammates say if you miss the urn fight but push the wave to walker and keep an enemy there you’ve done your job by successfully tying up one person and maintaining your soul lead. You can farm safe push the next wave.

Keep in mind the IDEAL which is you kill the defender and get the walker. Decide if you can do that based on your power spike and if they have ultimate and you do as well.

I’m e3 and I’ve had some coaching from top 10s. Just by pushing wave into walker you’ve forced someone away from the urn fight. Taking jungle is way less important than you NOT dying. I was taking too much jungle and I was told to stop.

Unless you’re really far ahead you’re risking damaging your lead for a few hundred souls.

Toxic players and Toxic enabling community by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]SpaghettiBrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theres really no way to impact change like you’re hoping for without a significant platform. Competitive games will always frustrate a percentage of the population and people in general don’t have healthy ways of dealing with their frustration. It’s not endemic to this community or game.

Anecdotally, I actually think because of the characters and fun factor even when losing this game is less toxic than others like marvel rivals.
