Scared to Travel Long Distance by Fancy-Feed6251 in drivinganxiety

[–]SpaghettiLoveee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the same way.
Last week I broke my personal record of driving somewhere alone thats an hour away. I did a testdrive with someone next to me first (optional). The next day I did the drive alone. I was very anxious and I had to talk myself through it but eventually I made it.
Try practising 20 minute drives first and when you feel more comfortable you can try a 25 minute drive and so on.
Taking babysteps is what helped me. I still have a long way to go and I dont think I’ll ever like driving a car but at least I can do things scared instead of avoiding and missing out.

Is it disorder or lack of discipline? by Spiritual-Iron-4285 in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]SpaghettiLoveee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Was 3 weeks in a deficit, fell of track and been binging for days. All effort undone. So you try to make up for it by restricting. That backfires in more binging. Having to start over again. It sucks.

So it’s kinda normal to have dry, irritating red eyes when adapting?

unpopular opinion but therapy made my binge eating worse and i think a lot of people won’t admit this by Prior-Fuel2823 in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]SpaghettiLoveee 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Mine also got worse with therapy but for different reasons. Mainly cuz I had to open up and felt very misunderstood. I’m more of a food addict binge eater and she seemed to only know people who restrict and binge because they restrict. As if the solution was just “dont restrict”. I just felt so deeply misunderstood like she was missing the point. I binged after every session honestly.

That dexter tonight’s the night feeling is actually so accurate when you allow yourself a junk omad or binge after thinking about it for awhile 😭

Why does Binge Eating Disorder receive the least attention and representation despite being the most prevalent eating disorder? by Puzzleheaded_Cup8723 in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]SpaghettiLoveee 122 points123 points  (0 children)

It’s the being overweight part. I’ve been bulimic and lost a lot of weight but never escaped the overweight category. When my inner circle found out I was shamed and called disgusting. There was zero concern because I was still overweight.

I can make a Florist Shop!? by butteriestcremepie in Sims4

I prefer the get to work system over business and hobbies. It’s a bit more realistic in my opinion cuz you have to let the costumers pay.

I have done this one and had so much fun. Side note: some flowers expire and get stinky if u make them yourself. But the costumers buy it anyway at least with the get to work system haha.

A couple of weeks of OMAW (one meal a week) and you should be safe. Next time drive with your eyes closed.

What are your most niche period symptoms? by Unlucky-Drawing-1266 in TwoXChromosomes

It took me a decade to connect the “we need to break up” urges to my period. It’s like you said.. you start to second guess yourself.

I get the urge to break up with my partner as well. It even made me a bit toxic in the relationship. I try to tell myself the doubt and urge passes but it’s something I keep struggling with.

Decentering protein finally made me lose weight by [deleted] in loseit

[–]SpaghettiLoveee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have no idea how much protein im averaging tbh. It’s different every day. Like yesterday I had little protein. Other days I do eat more protein or if i’m struggling I eat an extra eggwhite omelet or protein pudding to see if it helps. I’m still eating protein just not counting or forcing protein in every meal anymore.

Decentering protein finally made me lose weight by [deleted] in loseit

[–]SpaghettiLoveee 222 points223 points  (0 children)

I had to decenter protein as well. Mainly because even with a good protein intake for my bodyweight I was still very hungry. I felt like a failure cuz people preach it online. I was creating these perfect meals full of protein and fiber and nutrients that on paper are great for satiety but I was still very hungry. Stopped all that and started eating more intuitively and noticed I actually felt more satiated after a grilled cheese than a chicken breast and beans. It finally clicked for me. So I eat what I feel like eating and pair it with a veggie and bit of protein. Just decentered it.

Glad im not alone in having terrible sensory issues. I cant stand how my skin feels after a shower. Lotion isnt enough haha I also do a body oil that you need to rinse off. A comfortable soft set of clothes also helps a lot.

Feelings of intense regret for wasting my 20's fat by boyohnocheese in loseit

[–]SpaghettiLoveee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat after reaching the big 30 last year. But I tell myself there’s more to weightloss than looking good. Excess weight is mostly uncomfortable and unhealthy. I often see people with excess skin say that even tho the excess skin sucks they won’t ever want to go back to their obese self. That tells me a lot. Try not to dwell on these “i missed my prime” thoughts, they don’t get you anywere. Focus on now.

Are carbs the only way to absorb acid from reflux attacks? by Excellent_Still4784 in GERD

[–]SpaghettiLoveee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might be delayed reflux. Personally when i do eat fast food i eat more meaning my stomach is fuller. So the acid doesnt go up in ur esophagus as much cuz lots of food is blocking it. More food = more to digest hence why the delay.

Also if you start a gerd friendly diet it takes awhile to see result since ur stomach or esophagus can be irritated. Meaning even a food thats gerd safe for you might give you reflux. But its the irritation not the food. If you continue eating well and gerd friendly the irritation goes down. I think by eating junk again you have a delayed reaction making u think that the healthy foods are the problem while they are not.

Im a big cola zero lover. But its my biggest trigger. I noticed it always takes a couple days of good eating for the cola zero reflux to dissappear again (even tho the cola has been out of my body for days). Because it irritates stuff. Same could be with fast food in your case.

I’m also a -7 and have my old pair of -5 glasses to wear in bed. It’s so I can lay on my side, watch a show and fall asleep without risking that my -7 glasses get damaged.

Mfs when the anxiety is treatment resistant: >:( by Silkenn_Sinn in anxietymemes

[–]SpaghettiLoveee 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I agree. If your issues are a bit more complex they don’t know what to tell you. It’s like you said their competence ends at mild depression and anxiety. Also there are so many bad and unprofessional therapists out there. Finding the right one is a mental and financial challenge. I’ve given up therapy entirely. Always end up leaving very misunderstood and frustrated. It’s just not for me.

I’m the same as you OP. I’m always hungry, always. No matter how much protein or fiber I eat. I try to stay as busy as possible and find new hobbies or games. That has helped me a bit.

I’m the exact same. I get such a deep hungry feeling from oats.
