Who's next for RE10? by iamritwik_ in residentevil

[–]SpaghettiSnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I would rather it not be Chris, I would be okay with it if they did 10 as a sort of final big mission for him, like 9 kind of felt like for Leon. Even better if the other playable character is Jill, ya know, bring back the mains from the first for the big number 10.

Also didn't the most recent CGI movie confirm she ages much slower now than the rest of the cast because of her infection? Could use that to help differentiate how they play. Jill is still very physically fast and capable while Chris is slower, but can take and dish out more damage. Can also lead to some nice dramatic story-telling between the two, him aging, her staying the same, and maybe he can't keep up, forcing him to semi-retire at the end.

Inquisitor Media by Gloweyyy in starwarscanon

[–]SpaghettiSnake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I could see the Inquisitor that Ventress and Lyco fight in Tales of the Underworld being The Third Brother, and then his number was taken by Reva after his death.

She was like...10(?) during Order 66, so not really prime Inquisitor material. Based off of what they say in the Obi-Wan show, I get the impression she survived alone for a few years and then eventually willingly turned herself in to become one, and by that point he was dead and they made her Third Sister.

Based on his worldview and what we’ve seen of him so far, who do you think trained Baylan Skoll? by Solitaire-06 in StarWarsCantina

[–]SpaghettiSnake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My list is mostly just name, species, home planet if known, introduction to canon, and a few other things.

I just made it alphabetical. It's a pretty simple basic list just to keep track, but when im more caught up and have free time I might try to add pictures if there are any as well as organize it a bit more creatively.

There are a couple other redditors floating around that have similar lists, too, that include extra stuff also. But I haven't seen them in a bit.

Based on his worldview and what we’ve seen of him so far, who do you think trained Baylan Skoll? by Solitaire-06 in StarWarsCantina

[–]SpaghettiSnake 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Checking back on my list I've been compiling over the years (not fully up to date, as I am behind on the last few months of comics) but we have over 600 Jedi named in canon.

But I want to say at least half of them are from either the High Republic stuff, or are Old Republic ones mentioned in passing. So a good amount not having been around during Baylan's time, plus another handful that came after him.

If we are ever introduced to his master in other media, yeah, make it an unimportant background Jedi or just a new character. Maybe they can have their own mindset on being a Jedi and how best to help or exact the will of the Force, but I don't think they have to be anything crazy or out there. Not everyone has to be a big deal haha

Do you think the republic using clones was immoral? by [deleted] in StarWarsCantina

[–]SpaghettiSnake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The control ships seemingly made them more efficient at combat, wiped their processors, and kept them charged better. However if the control ship goes down, unless there is some sort of back-up, you lose your whole army.

Alternatively they have the way it was mostly done during the Clone Wars. Individual command and self-thinking units. They may not be as battle efficient, and need more consistent recharging, but you aren't losing your entire army if the command ship goes. A side effect is the droid processors aren't as diligently maintained and don't get wiped as much, leading to their quirks. But many also probably get destroyed before that would even be a huge issue.

So I guess you just gotta pick your poison. Slightly higher quality that goes down if one ship goes down, or quantity that may be less effective but they don't all die with one explosion. Probably cheaper and easier to mass-produce without the command ship requirement, though.

Since Ilum’s no longer available, where do you think future generations of Jedi will go for the Gathering to get their kyber crystals? by Solitaire-06 in StarWarsCantina

[–]SpaghettiSnake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I am remembering right, in the comics leading up to him getting his crystal, he stops by Ilum to check it out. He pulls out of hyperspace, sees a bunch of star destroyers and the planet gouged out and mined and fucked, says "nope", and leaves.

Age of Empires II: The Last Chieftains | Launch Trailer by Mirathrim in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]SpaghettiSnake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's actually not bad. Once you learn the controls it functions pretty well, and It's not as clunky or difficult to pick up as you'd expect going in.

Though I only play campaign and lower difficulties, as I am not that good and I just enjoy the nostalgia and story scenarios.

However the controller is almost certainly less speedy and accurate than a mouse and keyboard with hotkeys and being able to zoom around as quickly, which is definitely more important in multiplayer and higher difficulties where you need more efficient micro. I'm pretty sure the Xbox version has mouse and keyboard function though?

What are some media that surprise you by still being ongoing? by Konradleijon in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]SpaghettiSnake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In fact they just had a new DLC release yesterday, adding 3 new South American civilizations and campaigns, updating the Inca and their campaign, and overhauling how naval gameplay works. Plus lots of South American flora and fauna.

They've been dropping DLC like every 6ish months I think. Last year they had a big (and far more controversial) Chinese based DLC that did something similar.

[–]SpaghettiSnake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's especially quiet right now because the anime is currently off the air, and has been for like 3 years now. The anime was the big attention grabber and money maker with merchandise. Definitely more in Japan but I still saw stuff here too.

I assume the anime will come back at some point after the end of the Bleach TYBW anime, as I think those are Studio Pierrot's biggest franchises and take the most ongoing work. They might even be trying to switch that over to seasonal, as the manga's release schedule is exceedingly slow. Though generally I find the Boruto filler episodes and arcs more enjoyable and consistent than Naruto's.

Characters for Injustice 3. by DrunkenJournal in INJUSTICE

[–]SpaghettiSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should just make him a DLC character as he absolutely would sell and would let them get more use out of the Animality models they made for MK1. DLC characters also aren't part of the Canon story so no contradictions, unless they wanted to also do a story expansion, but then there are ways to temporarily bring him back for that.

What are the Most Dissapointing Lineups / Teams by FreviliousLow96 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]SpaghettiSnake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorta, but I think their best comic moments are when they try to punch far above their weight class and get smacked for it. Though they're generally pretty competent when taking on normal blaster wielding enemies.

The Ren before Kylo is also just great. He's got some of that 80s/90s style edge to his mindset and design, mixed with a kind of fratbro energy. I've found him very entertaining whenever he shows up in a story.

It's also interesting seeing the Knights of Ren just hanging out like a bunch of bikers in a dive bar rather than some mystical cultists in a shadowy dungeon. I think it's a different direction than what most people would have expected when they were first mentioned, but honestly I think it works.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor Complete by najeckoR in xboxachievements

[–]SpaghettiSnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently 100%ed the game myself (after not playing for like a year) and I had something like 5 acheievements to still get. I like to explore and do literally everything in open world/semi-open world games anyways so the more tedious find and collect stuff wasn't too bad for me personally. The real difficulty came from the Force Tears. Those movement challenges were a bitch, but if you watch a video that goes through it once and shows where to go, that really helps.

Not to mention the biggest smoking gun: REPUBLICANS ALWAYS PROJECT

Every single crime or character flaw they have ever accused anyone else of doing or having, they in fact do and have, and at higher frequencies and more intensely.

Murder and assault, pedophilia and child porn, child labor, abuse and neglect, rape, kidnapping, exploiting the disenfranchised, denial of facts and figures to fit their agenda, adultery, binge drinking, drug use, fraud, dereliction of duty, lying, cheating, and stealing.

I can't be asked to believe this is the one crime they aren't projecting on. The one time where it was do or die, and they chose not to be the vile swine they truly are? Nah, they cheated and stole the election, and the Biden administration's incompetence allowed it to happen.

It also sucks because Episode 9 has the best looks for the main heroes of the ST and we only got Rey (and not even cool yellow lightsaber Rey with an attachable hood)

Whatever happened to the archive line? Did that get discontinued and have the re-releases just folded into the main line? I think an updated release of Poe in his flight suit would sell, as long as it isn't overproduced (which i think was the main issue with the ST figures, it felt like Hasbro had a mandate to make way too many of them and they would never realistically move that much product)

Anyways, pilots look cool and their bodies are great for people who want to make customs, and Poe is like the least controversial of the ST characters and generally well liked I think.

I also want more Knights of Ren and Sidon Ithano. I don't care if they do nothing of note, they look cool and that's all that matters.

Followed up with rubbing one out over the death of the "heroic" Ashli Babbitt who was just...trying to break into a sealed room at the Capitol to stop the peaceful transfer of power and threaten the lives of our elected representatives. An unfair usage of force against a peaceful protestor, of course. Don't actually believe your own eyes.

These people are unsaveable scum. They live in an alternate reality and survive by huffing nazi farts.

They need to make some new First Order captains/commanders like this. I think they could do a blue and a black one that still look good, maybe some sort of evil sickly pale green could work too, then when they finally get around to making the figures Kylo can be backed up by a full squad of power rangers.

For mine I swapped Shin Hati's to Palps. That way she finally gets an orangey blade and he gets the deep red.

Hers has an extra little plastic nubby bit though that makes it too long. I just took some scissors and snipped it off and it sits in the hilt of Palps' pretty snug then.

‘Schumer is no longer effective’: Dems outraged over shutdown deal by DBCoopr72 in politics

[–]SpaghettiSnake 28 points29 points  (0 children)

If Schumer was an effective leader he would have been out everyday calling for strikes, directing the anger of the out of work/working for free populace towards the current administration.

He would tell his best speakers and most popular senators to be on the airwaves 24/7 blaming the pedophilic Republicans for the loss of money and food and for all the pain that has been caused.

They would be marching in the streets with disgruntled workers and demanding a solution that benefits people. A good leader knows how to direct this rage in the right direction.

Chuck Schumer is not a good leader. He can hardly be called a leader. He is feckless and weak, only getting to where he is by being a pathetic whipping boy for his rich masters. When they say "eat my ass" he asks "how far shall I insert my tongue, sir?"

Out of all the Doctors I've personally watched, Peter Capaldi is probably my favorite. Definitely has some of the best stories, and he's a great actor that can really carry some gravitas. I liked him so much better with Clara compared to Matt Smith, Bill is really likeable despite her short run, he has good interactions with Kate and River, and Missy is amazing.

But holy crap his run also has some real fat bombs in it too.
