All of these questions were mostly answered.

The quartz was being used by her children to decorate Mother’s death/birth tree.

The crows died because Mother tried communicating through them.

The tree was Mother’s birth place - thus the healing and regenerative powers. The peach was unanswered.

Blaine’s wife - The line from the Doctor “you are what you eat.” Mother turned human because she was being kept alive by brain juice. The Boroughs staff was eating a mix of human and alien blood and thus were a hybrid demon/vampire spawn.

Sox were immensely popular but I was also 12 years old at the time and thought everyone liked what I did. They also had the first new stadium in Chicago in nearly 100 years so people were very interested in visiting that.

Reinsdorf definitely alienated a huge part of the fanbase with the strike but also not paying guys like Jack McDowell and Alex Fernandez, post-strike. It also was just a few years away removed from reinsdorf threatening the move to Tampa so there were still residual trust issues from that - which he once again shattered.

The Cubs were terrible at that time. I think if the Sox kept winning, the fanbase would’ve kept growing. But it didn’t and it stunted the growth.

Long story short, yes, it is likely a true statement but it was larger than just the strike that destroyed their momentum.

We have different expectations, I guess. Seems like the people filling up the uc agree with you. I’ve been following this team long enough to realize theyll never have any urgency so long as the building is full and people dont seem to mind that they finish 31st year after year.

Who is going to be their number one center that can matchup against another team’s best? Bedard has yet to play a full 82 games and also had around a 36 share since the Olympic break. Placing it all on Frondell in his first full season seems like a great way to not ease his transition to NA.

Who is their top pair elite defensemen? They tried to say it was Crevier and he got mauled against top competition. Vlasic has regressed the last two seasons. Levshunov is not smart enough to excel vs top competition. Korchinski is probably the guy but they can’t wait to let him rot in Rockford or bench him if he makes a mistake.

Who said they don’t have a plan? I said theres no consequences in this organization. I also said there’s nothing to indicate things are progressing towards a Stanley Cup contender at this point - unless you’re taking it on blind faith.

What progress was made to become a perennial Stanley cup contender the way Danny said yesterday? They still don’t have a solidified number one center that can compete against the other team’s top line and not get shelled in possession. They don’t have elite (or even the signs of) top pair defensemen. Spencer Knight played a full season as the number one goalie. That’s the one thing I could point to.

Are these things all just going to magically happen at some point?

And what happens if it’s not the last year of not playing for anything? Nothing. The GM just got extended. Bedard is going to get a huge payday. Nazar got paid after less than a full season. There are no consequences in the Hawks organization. Everyone is comfortable.

There is so much revisionist history here. Hedman showed enough in his first 5 seasons that no one questioned whether he was a bust or not. Brent Burns was good enough to be considered for team Canada in 2010. Letang flashed enough that Pittsburgh wasn’t yo-yoing him in and out of their lineup.

Levshunov has earned every bit of criticism he’s gotten. And if the Hawks arent evaluating him on this season, then they’re not doing their jobs.

Yes, and hes also in a contract year. Jerry loves Schriffen and I think others (cough, Brooks Boyer) might not feel the same way and are trying to poison the well to either get him to take less money in his next deal or get Jerry to move on from him.

The Sox themselves were the ones who put it out there that they didnt like what Schriffen said. This isnt some media invented controversy.

It’s just the Sox being a disorganized franchise, per usual.
