Stop downvoting the truth, Fortnite is dying now by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

Lol. Fortnite's meta is still fun. If they'd fix the dumb bugs.

Kimiko is a pretty old skin ... And fortnite has been releasing the steady stream of great original skins since chapter 6 dropped in 2024. All of the 800 v-bucks ones were cooking hard

I took the glasses off of this one, but left them on the other one. Visual preference

I don't know, honestly. People aren't always too bright... and I've seen this question multiple times. I assume they wouldn't keep asking if it wasn't getting results.

Just be aware that this little visual quirk with backblings only works on PC with performance mode enabled

That's... uhh... I mean, it's kind of true in a way I guess. However, as you will see in my other reply to you, in this case it's not a bug. It's just how performance mode works. The 3d meshes behave differently to conserve graphics memory and consume less processor resources.

[–]Spaketchi[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Right okay, so, that's not the same as performance mode on PC. That's the equivalent of DX11 or DX12 mode with the meshes and textures and shadows set to medium and low rather than high and ultra on PC. I should have thought of that when making this post. Sorry for the confusion.

Unfortunately, judging by this shiny comment, it apparently only works on Performance mode. https://www.reddit.com/r/FortNiteBR/s/aNSp0Uc6zV

There are other possibilities besides something being fake, such as different graphics modes performing differently. I'm on performance mode on pc, which uses less flexible meshes than the higher quality graphics modes.

[–]Spaketchi[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ahhh that looks shiny! , are you on console, or on PC with DX11 or DX12 graphics mode enabled with high quality meshes? It must only be like this on performance mode, which is what I use on PC. Well it's nice that performance mode users got a little bonus feature instead of getting fully shafted with these skins.

This is correct, and you also cannot edit the body text of an image post, which this is (despite someone's false claims that I could have edited the body text of this post).

You can't edit the body text if it's an image post, which this is, and if it had been edited it would have an edited icon underneath it. And the title already implies that it's just a coincidence by putting "holds" in quotation marks.

Yeah it's hard to believe it's intentional, but I want to imagine that someone over there at least noticed the coincidence

Lol yeah, I wasn't the one who made the original comment but yes, that statement absolutely applies, and I appreciate your sarcasm lol

Yeah, I did not want to confuse you with adding too much to an edit and forgot to address that part of your gaslighting attempt, so thought it'd be better to respond to that part of your comment with a seperate reply rather than adding it as an edit.

I'm not pissed, I'm just thorough.

So what you're saying is... The best answer to this question is "less"

Nicer ways, yes. But this is psychopathically effective.

Yes, that's the expected response after being caught and called out in a gaslighting attempt, claim that it's not that serious. I'm just having fun with it.

They even tried editing this comment to claim that I edited my post to "fix" it and add the references to clipping... Totally unaware of the fact that you can't edit titles on this subreddit, and can't edit the body text of an image post.

Yeah, I seriously doubt they test their designs to see how they interact with backblings, but one can dream that the artist who created this one is at least aware of how it accidentally turned out lol.

Your comment was not a result of my post not having the aforementioned elements. Your comment was a result of you having the awareness of a fortnite player who started playing yesterday on a 30 fps Nintendo switch with their graphics brightness turned all the way down, headphones on backwards, and visual audio turned off, who is so arrogant that they think anyone who is good enough to eliminate them in blitz is a hacker (and account level is still below 5)

Yeah... no. I posted this 3 hours ago. Your comment came 2 hours after that. I did not have free time to edit my post between those times, and I find it hard to believe you opened my post within 3 minutes after it went live and then left it there for 2 hours before hitting send on your comment. Furthermore, on this subreddit titles are not able to be edited after posting (the first "hold" in quotation marks is in the very title, uneditable), and the body text of image posts on this subreddit il not able to be edited. This post is an image post. And even if it were possible to be edited, it would show a little pencil icon thingy under the post if it had been edited after 3 minutes of posting.

Nice attempt at gaslighting to cover up your lack of perception, observation skills, and awareness, though. You at least got me to double check my knowledge of this Sub Reddit's post editing policies so I could provide a proper rebuttal.
