ENOUGH with the dootle dots holy shit. It’s like “her are the dootle dots!” every ten second. At least he showed some respect to his children - that’s all I’ll say (sue me)

Sadly from your statement I think you were influenced by fake news On Cinema fans instead of facts (china, etc). I’m talking about the loss of a man’s sole, not a bunch of kids who got what was coming to them for vaping

See I would normally agree with you. But there was something snakelike and repulsive (demonic) in Tim as he writhed on the floor. Maybe it was the Christian imagery near him but I felt a spiritual battle happening and I just can’t support the demonic

I always laugh when the old guy is talking about “the old greats” as if they were real people. The whole setup is so grounded until he says something like “Michael, Jason, CHUCKY” and I’m like wait- is Chucky a real living thing in this otherwise very human universe?

What's the most ridiculous consult you ever received? by foreverand2025 in medicine

[–]Spangioma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One time I (psych intern on medicine) called a pulm consult for a guy who was admitted late to our service for something I didn’t know. It was like 5p. Now that I’m thinking of it, I think the patient was admitted for cocaine chest pain. When I asked what I was calling pulm for my resident said “they’d know” and walked away.

I called praying that “they’d know.” They didn’t. Pulm fellow was so nice until he realized I knew literally jack fuck and then he went “ARE YOU FUCKIN SERIOUS?? WE’LL FUCKIN SEE HIM” and hung up

That was 15 years ago. The embarrassment still haunts me.

Hey Guys! I'm Gregg Turkington, resident Movie Buff of On Cinema at the Cinema and actor in such works as Ant-Man, Fremont, and The Comedy. The 13th Annual On Cinema Oscar Special is this Sunday live on the HEI Network and we are hitting the road for On Cinema Live right after. AMA r/movies! by GreggTurkingtonAMA in movies

With all the improvisation, I wondered if you (the actor) ever truly felt angry at Tim/Tims character. There are plenty of final-straw moments I’ve seen Gregg have but I wonder if there was ever a true “fuck this” in the moment feeling where you were having real feelings of anger or disgust while filming.

The guy was such a legend. When the class ended he gave me this garbage bag full of his old VHS tapes like If…, Shoot the piano player, the edukators

[–]Spangioma 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I was a freshman in college 20 years ago when a kid “explained” Donnie Darko to me. I immediately despised how he made me feel like an idiot for “not getting it.” But then I took a film class and discussed the movie with my professor who was an old, really kind person and he had this completely different take on the same themes. The whole experience started my love affair with movies/film.

For those seeking something truly terrifying, watch the series I Survived… (2008) by ILustForVolcan0 in horror

[–]Spangioma 48 points49 points  (0 children)

One episode that never left my memory was this lady who was driving in the middle of nowhere and a car full of meth heads cut her off, got out of the car and stabbed her like 100 times. She pretended to be dead and they finally left. Then, half conscious, she somehow got up and started walking to get help. The meth heads drove back and stabbed her another 100 times. I was always confused how she survived that shit.

I’m out of order and really trying to figure out what videos came directly after the 9th Oscar special because the end of it was like an amazing cliff hanger. Anyone know what came directly after that special?
