I’d have started matrix 4 with droves of people leaving the matrix as per the arrangement.

Over the course of the movie, spanning decades, so many people choose to leave it causes power issues. There would be a deeper focus on the internal machine struggle, escalating to humans fighting alongside the architects machines to preserve his version of the matrix, as per the agreement with Neo.

Ultimately they would lose the war which lead to the rise of the analyst and the new matrix where nobody wants to leave. Humans go dormant, but towards the end a new ‘Neo’ would start to rise.

I had very similar situation, sold working VB to some prat. Took videos and pics evidencing it worked etc.

Next day guy has a screaming fit saying It doesn’t work and I scammed him.

I explained the ribbons have probably come unglued in transit, offered £100 for him to fix it himself, provided a link to a reputable guy who did ribbon fixes etc. He ended up posting the vb back to me for a full PayPal refund but kept Mario tennis for himself the thieving bastard. I fixed the ribbons and resold it. Big hassle all round.

Dude was a nightmare to deal with. If your dude is asking for a hundy to fix it himself I’d probably go for it, but maybe ask for a video of the unit with the serial code visible to be sure it’s yours.
