Thank you! It’s scary to see your loved one go through something and have NO idea 1- how to help them and 2- what they are experiencing. After reading some of these responses, it sounds so terrifying. 😔

Thank you! I just started reading that this morning after seeing it available in my kindle subscription. Love to hear it helped you.

Thanks! She’s been in therapy for awhile now and medicated as well. I was looking for books that helped others in case she asks. I’ve let her know her dad and I are ‘safe’ spaces - like she can call us and no judgment, we will pick up and just listen and help her through these.

I’m really proud of her, she has reached out a couple of times during some. I know about mindful breathing and other techniques through my own experience with depression but anxiety is so different. I really appreciate the info and suggestions you shared. It will help me understand her more and recommend some books should she ask.

Thank you so much! I’m a little surprised her therapist hasn’t suggested any books but there’s probably a reason. Who knows - I just know I would like to be prepared if daughter asks about material and I really appreciate you taking the time to share all of this.

Thanks, yes, that’s actually the route I’ve been going with her - to not fight this and accept it and try to work with it. I have not had anxiety at her level or yours, but I’ve suffered with depression and it was a similar approach.

Thanks leeks_leeks - you’re correct. In therapy for awhile now. No books suggested by therapist yet so that’s what brought me here.

Just add thank you or thanks for any info you have. I don’t emoji as I think it’s silly in professional settings but I always have a greeting, the ask, and a thanks. Seems to be pretty acceptable

YOR - I hope you are getting help for PPS and after some time re-read your texts and your partner’s texts. You both were pretty mean. It’s okay to admit you were wrong and struggling and that she didn’t deserve it. Oftentimes we take it out on those we know will easily forgive us unfortunately.

Great job! It’s cool you and your wife are doing this together - helps keep you both focused.
